Do you think Splatoon should crossover with other franchises whether big or small?

We know that they did a cross promotion with Squid Girl thanks to the Squid Girl gear you can get but do you think they should take a step further or leave Splatoon the way it is?

Oh yeah you're right. Yeah that was kind of neat even though I don't watch Transformers.

Like the Squid Girl crossover, it would be cool to have more gear inspired by/taken from other games added to splatoon. In fact there are definitely a lot of cool possibilities involving that.

It would also be cool to see splatfests with themes based in other games, like Wario vs. Waluigi, Mario vs. Luigi, Kirby vs. Dedede, anything really.

But I don't think there should ever be a crossover that changes the actual gameplay of Splatoon in any way, or one that adds characters from other games, even if they don't actually change the gameplay. That would be just stupid.

Also, would a kid's literature Splatfest count? I was thinking Alice in Wonderland vs. Wizard of Oz. That would sound pretty neat.

Personally, I think Splatoon should just stick to costumes/themed weapons but not go overboard with it. Honestly Splatoon is really it's own quirky universe with it's own characters and outside of "memoirs from the past" which are costumes and weapons, I believe Splatoon should be kept to it's own little golden corner. Of course, none of us can really decide it's fate, that's on Nintendo.

Jet Set Radio - Easy pick through the SEGA alliance.
Space Channel 5 - Another easy pick, we could have some kind of event with some competition between Ulala and the Squid Sisters, like, say, a SPECIAL Splatfest...
Team Fortress 2 - We already share memes with them, so it's easy to aim for this. Maybe we can even sneak some inkblasters into TF2 this way :D

Methinks Nintendo should keep Splatoon sanitized of their other franchises until the inevitable sequels. That way, Spla2oon has some kind of gimmick right off the bat. Hate to say it, but people eat that crossover stuff with a spoon.

The Demoman and Heavy's weapons have snuck into TF2, and it would be nice to have the first Ink Scattergun. I would wear a Demoman costume with the Gal series, tbh.

Uh, I'm not exactly begging for more crossover stuff, but it would be nice to see some things here & there. I can't think of what I'd exactly want, though. A Blooper/Octorok T-shirt? Link's floppy hat? A Poké Ball hat? Soap Shoes? It could be anything, really; I'd be cool with it regardless.

(Actually, that last one would be neat. I'll have that be my main "want" then.)

Crossovers are fairly subjective to interests. Especially in cases of shows and videogames. I really cannot say that I would care too much about crossovers involving Splatoon and some other show or game, though there are already fan works out there that probably do.
