Does special charge up and tenacity have any synergies?

I haven't seen any testing on this and have seen it asked elsewhere, but I am wondering if anyone knows if special charge up simply makes inking the ground worth more "special charge up meter fill" (therefore I would think tenacity would not effect since the special gauge "size" remains the same) or does the ability reduce the quantity of points needed to fill the special gauge (tenacity would do this even faster working together)

I'm interested in thoughts on how these two work together.

yes those 2 abilities have great synergy in my opinion. i was playing tower control and i felt like i was able to use my specials way more faster.

Well yeah, they are both filling the special gauge faster. But my question is if special charge decreases the amount of time for tenacity to fill the special.

What exactly does tenacity do? I've seena million different sources say many different things.

From what you're saying here, it increases charge of the special gauge? Only when allies are dying? Or when they disconnect? I'm so confused.

I would be lead to believe that Tenacity works separately from Special Charge Up because SCU is only active when you're spraying ink IIRC.

If this is in fact the case then Tenacity would take the normal 178 points to fill a meter regardless of SCU.

According to the official guide:

Tenacity

"Description: Fills special gauge automatically if your team has fewer active players than the enemy."

"Tenacity fills your special gauge automatically if your team has more inactive players than the enemy team. A player is flagged as inactive while waiting to respawn-inactive players are shown at the top of the screen, represented by squids with X shapes over their eyes. The more inactive players your team has, in comparison to the opposing team, the faster your special gauge fills. This ability is restricted to headgear as a main ability."

My question is if the amount of special needed to max out you're special gauge is altered by Special Charge Up? If this is the case, tenacity would have less distance to go to fill up the special.

My guess is you're correct. But if not, it would make for a really sweet combo.

Yeah, I actually use Tenacity and SCU together on my Tower Control set-up and it's already amazing for building meter, but if they stacked in the way you were describing then I think it'd be too good lmao.

Yeah, you know what....I think I just needed to read the guide a little more carefully.

Special Charge Up

"Description: Increases special-gauge fill rate."

"Special Charge Up increases the rate at which the special gauge fills by up to 30% allowing for more frequent deployment of specials, But you still need to spread ink to fill that gauge. This makes the ability most effective in Turf War, when you're already tasked with spreading ink."

So Tenacity is a special charge multiplier? It makes it faster to charge specials rather than just poofing you a full special meter?

That changes everything I know about anything in this game... Nah not really, I don't rely too heavily on specials anyways. My main game is "Bombs away!"
