Honestly the only bad thing about the online multiplayer is finding the perfect teammates, not being able to add them as friends, and then losing them forever ;-;

Go to the friends list, there's an option to view players you've met recently. I assume it would let you add them from there.

I concur. There is indeed an option to do this.
