Here comes a new character... or three.

Name: Blaze
Age: 15
Universe: Pokémon
Canon/OC: OC
Appearance: a Jakks Pacific electronic Blaziken figure with a partially broken left arm (the part that's broken = everything ending at just above his 'elbow'); the arm is torn up, and frayed wires are poking out
Species: Blaziken
Personality: Blaze is a natural leader, befitting the role Katie gave him as mayor of a town she made up. The Blaziken was somewhat lax in his mayoral duties, though, often hosting town-wide events that Katie oversaw. Now, though, he doesn't think he's really important enough to be a mayor or a leader in general, since he can't defend himself or anyone else if anything attacks.
Bio: Unlike other Blaziken, Blaze was man-made in a toy factory in a distant region called Hoenn. After his creation, some rowdy humans bought him and went to their house. They were very rough while playing with him and they broke his left arm. The light in the flame on his right wrist still worked, but the sound was low in pitch. He was very weak, and they soon gave him to their cousin, another human named Katie. When she played with him, she accidentally pressed the button and heard the weak sound. She used him a few times, then soon put him in storage, if only because she didn't want to damage him any further. She eventually used Blaze again, but every time she pressed the button, no sound was heard. No light was seen, either. It seems that the batteries corroded while the Blaziken was in storage. Katie still loved playing with him, even if he was permanently a mute. Eventually, her love for Blaze manifested into him coming to life. Soon, a portal appeared under Blaze's feet, dropping him into the Splatoon universe.
Powers: Growl and Fire Punch (don't work)
Other: Blaze can still speak normally, but the sound and light don't work anymore

Name: Marina Ida
Age: 18
Universe: Splatoon
Canon/OC: Canon
Ink Color: teal
Appearance:

Species: Octoling (webfoot octopus)
Personality: Marina is more reserved than her bandmate Pearl. She speaks in a sweet, gentle manner, and can get very sassy in response to others teasing her, though she's quite shy as well. While she's reserved, she's not concerned about expressing herself. She's also slightly forgetful at times. She's also a bit timid, as when she notices an Inkling, she smiles awkwardly and waves. Marina has a high level of intelligence, as she was capable of hacking Kamabo Corporation before its downfall, allowing Agent 8 to pass a test using the data collected from their previous attempts, and could hack their CQ-80 device to show her chat room or release a distress signal. During Agent 8's final battle, she could use her laptop to analyze the NILS Statue in a few seconds, learning about the strength of its cannon and its use of sunlight to charge up power. Marina is an enthusiast regarding all sorts of technology, befitting her background as an 85th generation Octarian combat engineer. She is obsessed with the machinery found in various stages, such as Sturgeon Shipyard, Port Mackerel and the bucketwheel excavator in Piranha Pit. She doesn't like being considered a 'nerd' in this regard. Because of this, she's very excitable when it comes to machinery.
Bio: Marina was born into "the oppression of Octarian society" as she would later describe it and began to be trained as a combat engineer from a very early age. She graduated from elementary training at the age of 9 after skipping multiple grades and for the next few years went on to play a part in designing the Flooder and enhancing the Great Octoweapons. Before the Squid Sisters' retirement, Marina had received multiple commendations as part of DJ Octavio's wasabi supply unit. As a high-ranking member, she was known throughout Octarian society and was recognized by Agent 8 despite them never meeting personally. Soon after, Marina was present wearing Octoling gear in the audience of Agent 3's battle against DJ Octavio, but deserted the army and Octarian society shortly after hearing the Squid Sisters sing the Calamari Inkantation. She escaped to Mount Nantai, where she didn't even understand the Inkling language. While there, she met an Inkling named Pearl, who was practicing singing. Learning about Inkling culture and customs, Marina attempted to find Pearl again. When she did, she showed Pearl her musical abilities through her demo of Ebb & Flow and Pearl immediately agreed to them starting a band that they decided to call Off the Hook. They released Ebb & Flow as their first single, and it was a hit. By the time of their fourth single, around nine months after the Squid Sisters retired, they had become popular enough to take over hosting Inkopolis News. Soon after, they met an Octoling that Cap'n Cuttlefish calls "Agent 8", and they stumbled upon the lost duo by overhearing their radio transmission. Learning that they were trapped in the Deepsea Metro, attempting to escape to Inkopolis, they promised to help them out. The three acted as Agent 8's guides during the tests, while they also talked in Marina's chat room, which was used by the group to learn about their respective pasts. When discussing with Cuttlefish about Marina's technological achievements, Pearl finally discovered her history as a member of the Octarian army, and despite being deeply shocked, she promised to remain friends with her. After Agent 8 collected all four thangs and escaped from the Deepsea Metro, Off the Hook finally met them and Cap'n Cuttlefish in person after their battle with a brainwashed Agent 3, using a fleet of helicopters to carry them away. When Commander Tartar revealed its plan to destroy Inkopolis, Marina came up with the plan necessary to defeat it - having Agent 8 detonate her prototype hyperbombs to cover the NILS Statue in ink, with Pearl using her Princess Cannon to finish it off. With the threat averted, the group returned safely to Inkopolis Square. Since then, both Pearl and Marina have seen these weird portals open up and release these odd creatures who claim to not be from this world.
Other: Marina owns a motorcycle; she's a manga enthusiast that likes manga clubs; her favorite vegetables are beets; she owns a keytar (which has Squid Sisters and Off the Hook decals on the neck), which she plays when she and Pearl sing Muck Warfare; she owns a laptop, which is decorated similarly to her keytar

Name: Pearl Houzuki
Age: 21
Universe: Splatoon
Canon/OC: Canon
Ink Color: light pink
Appearance:

Species: Inkling (Northern pygmy squid)
Personality: Pearl speaks rather bluntly and uses various slang terms. She's expressive and quick to jump onto a topic with a bit of a short temper and a knack for composing new songs as they come to her. When she won a Splatfest, she often boasted how her team was better than Marina's in the form of a rap, which she made up on the spot. She gravitates towards mostly outgoing things, such as action, adventure, and film. She has difficulties with sitting still, leading her to fidget and walk around. She also has a quirky side. Pearl's voice can create massive shockwaves, leading to her being given the nickname of the "club destroyer". When it was fully warmed up and amplified by her Princess Cannon, Pearl's vocal shockwave was concentrated into a powerful laser able to counteract the cannon of the NILS Statue. As a result of this tremendous power, Pearl goes to Mount Nantai to practice her shockwave-causing singing voice away from civilization, as the mountain is mostly free of people. Pearl is also very protective of Marina, even after being told by Cap'n Cuttlefish of Marina's true nature as an Octoling. Upon receiving the news, she remained loyal to Marina, even threatening violence against Cap'n Cuttlefish if he ever dared to splat her bandmate. She considers meeting Marina the best gift she's ever received.
Bio: Pearl was born into an exceedingly rich family, something that came across in a lot of stories about her childhood. She was interested in music from an early age, taking part in the Inkopolis Youth Folk-Singing Contest and causing some destruction with the power of her voice. While practicing her potentially dangerous voice on Mt. Nantai less than two years before their career as newscasters, Pearl met Marina, a newly-defected Octoling, and the two quickly bonded. Pearl never learned of Marina's past, believing her to be a "country bumpkin", and taught Marina the ways of Inkling society. After meeting each other again, the two became friends, with Marina demonstrating her musical abilities with a demo of Ebb & Flow. After hearing this, Pearl agreed to form a band with her, which led to her fully establishing herself in the public consciousness upon the formation of Off the Hook. Later, Pearl revealed to Marina and Cuttlefish how Inkopolis Square was beginning to become populated with more Octolings and eased Cuttlefish's worries about his old enemies. After Agent 8 collected all four thangs and escaped from the Deepsea Metro, Off the Hook finally met them and Cap'n Cuttlefish in person after their battle with a brainwashed Agent 3, using a fleet of helicopters to carry them away. When Commander Tartar revealed its plan to destroy Inkopolis, Pearl's "battle cry" was instrumental in defeating it. After Agent 8 covered the NILS Statue in ink from Marina's hyperbombs, Pearl used her Princess Cannon to finish it off. With the threat averted, the group returned safely to Inkopolis Square. Since then, both Pearl and Marina have seen these weird portals open up and release these odd creatures who claim to not be from this world.
Other: Pearl owns a go-cart, Camp Triggerfish, the baseball "Inkopolis Princess League", and a fitness studio; she also still gets an allowance despite having a job, has personal shoppers for MakoMart, and owns a vegetable garden in front of her house that must be watered using her helicopter with an exclusive jellyfish pilot
