Assuming this is the last Big Run we ever get, I think this was a good map to end it on.
I did have some problems with it though. High tide turns the map into a long narrow path to the basket making it easy to get separated and die far from your team which gets even worse during Xtrawaves.
Mid and low tide were still really good though and even the problems with high tide were easier to manage thanks to having Grizzco weapons.
Night waves were especially fun thanks to the terrain being at different elevations while still being close enough to the ground.
I do wish there were more inkrails though since that's one of the reasons why I love Bonerattle Arena and I think they could have really made this final Big Run map standout more. Even ride-rails would have been a fun addition as another way to travel around (I don't think they'd be that good though).
Regardless, I still enjoyed playing on the Grand Splatlands Bowl and I hope that they don't take out all the paintable walls for the Tri-Color layout (they will).

The good news is that this isn't the final Big Run. Dataminers found new dialogue for future BIG Big Run and even an Undertow Big Run. Reward-wise that's uncertain. It's the last NEW Big Run but not THE FINAL

I always wanted a Big Run with Golden Rotation and Nintendo DELIVERED! Not only that, I wanted a Mr. Grizz statue as a reward and boy did they deliver! So I was happy!
In terms of the map, I think it was fine. The cannon was interesting and I wonder if there is lore behind that: are they repurposed Big Shot cannon that Grizzco confiscated or are they original Grizzco tool?
One thing I noticed that I liked was how the Golden Eggs had a grayish-blue hue during nighttime rounds. Just a little thing I found neat.

However I did find this Big Run to be easier than usual. Of course Golden Roto means Salmon Run on easy mode, but I think if they made the Gold quota higher (like 175-190), I think that would've made things more challenging for anyone who wanted to go for gold. Also Big Run being on a brand new stage is nice, but you get used to it so easily.
I wasn't too big of a fan of High Tide location. I like the ink rails being there but man everything can snowball so easily with high tide being a bridge and a little alley towards the basket. It's not Spawning Ground bad but it wasn't the most enjoyable.
The last thing I didn't like was the music. The Deep Cut remix of Happy Little Worker and the remix of Bait & Click wasn't the best. One reason why I love Big Run is w-3's Bait & Click. I would love to try this again with the OG Bait & Click someday.

But I do agree this is a great sendoff to new Big Run. I played nothing but this over the weekend and it definitely is a highlight of the game.

I liked that there was a worldwide goal, not just because it incentivized teamwork but also because it allowed players to skip so many shifts worth of scales. And I feel like this time around, I actually got a lot more Golden Scales than I usually get during Big Runs, which allowed me to reach 220 Golden Scales before the end.

I do hope this becomes the norm for future Big Runs because many of those items are just way too expensive. Also, I didn't think I would be able to reach 1200 Bronze Scales, just 1200 more and I can get the entire Octoleet set.

I think it was pretty interesting very cool seeing a big run stage on a tricolor layout
personally I wasn't a fan of how triumvirate played out on it but maybe I was just unlucky with the random weapons

I had so much fun :D It would be really cool if they kept the global quotas for the future too. The map layout was pretty interesting and I'm really curious how that map will play out for actual tricolor matches. I also really hope we see this map in future big big runs; it'd be a shame to never get to play it again.

Edit: another thing that was kind of funny (maybe this is normal at all high hazard levels but I have never been there before) was that it wasn't just about keeping the salmonids from overrunning you, it became about killing them fast enough that the game didn't start to slow down so badly you couldn't do anything effectively, lol. There were some games I thought my poor switch might catch fire it was so much, lol
