Let's make Splatoon complicated (at least, more complicated than it was). You can't do **** while using Triple Inkstrike, but since they deploy on contact, delaying them can prove beneficial!

oh yeah, I will be using imgur links to send animated gifs on this post. All the gifs will be followed by an image of it for your convenience. Squidboards doesn't like big files and I don't blame them.

One of the many beauties of throwing strikes in the air is making them all deploy at once. Let's learn how to do that!

Simultaneous Vertical

This is the simplest trick in the bag. Throw each strike aiming lower than the next and they'll detonate at the same time! The higher the throw, the longer it sails.
Simultaneous Diagonal

Going right to left or vise versa gives you a diagonal line. This is the pattern I find myself using the most.
Simultaneous Triangle

Going back to back can give you a triangle pattern! In reality, you can make just about any pattern of simultaneous detonations by going top to bottom.

This one is a tad peculiar. Simultaneous detonations tend to require top to bottom throws, but the lower you throw, the farther it lands. Here, I take advantage of an interesting law of physics in the Splatoon universe: Running and jumping allow strikes (or any other throwables) to travel farther. First throw is done running and jumping. Second is done running. Third is done standing.

If we want to have the strikes detonate in a certain order, we need to get a little more complicated...
Since I can only attach 5 files in each post, I will create a separate post detailing the rest of my work.

Sequential Backwards

By creating more space between your throws and by making the closest higher and the farthest lower with jumps and runs, the strikes will detonate in a receding order towards you.
Sequential Forwards

By giving each strike time to fall, closing the gap between the aim of your throws, and generally aiming higher, it's possible to manipulate the strikes to detonate outwards away from you.
Sequential Horizontal

Possibly the simplistic pattern, just throwing strikes horizontally in a direction will have them deploy in that direction.

In Laman's terms, this is just the Sequential Forwards or Backwards with horizontal variation.

Tips/Remarks

Notice how in both shots, the spacing of the angles are the same, yet the spacing of the detonations are not. The higher you throw, the more difference is made when angling away, but the lower you throw, the less difference is made when angling away. This is due to math I think??? It's a little complicated, all you need to recognize is that in most of the previous patters, the lower shot is usually father away from the middle one than it is to the top one.

As mentioned before, jumping and/or running extends the length in which throwables are thrown. If where you want to strike is too far, or you need more spacing in them, keep this trick in mind.

Very rarely will you have the leverage and flat ground handed to me in these demonstrations. Strikes detonate on contact, so higher or lower ground may require you to accommodate the height in which you throw your strikes.

You can still throw strikes directly at your target. One of my favorite tricks is to slowly throw each strike one-by-one at a chokepoint to hold it as long as possible. Throwing them into the air is just one of many ways to use the Triple Inkstrike (it just so happens to be complicated (and my favourite)).

Which reminds me of my final point: This is not a guide for using TriStrike effectively. This is a guide to give players a wider arrange of possibilities when using TriStrikes. Maybe I'm too much of a baby to defend any claims that this special is worth picking on a competitive level, but my excuse is that only by learning its potential can we see how far it takes us. Would love to hear what you guys think. :3

This is really useful actually, thank you. I always knew you could delay them to have them all come out at once but I didn't fully understand how to do it and I haven't really found anything yet that explains it so this helps a lot.
