Hi, and welcome!
I see you're a Hatsune Miku fan, that's neat! I'm not very good at shooters, either. I don't usually like games in first person perspective for some reason. Virtual reality might change that, but watching things from a first person perspective on a screen always felt kind of.. um, uncanny valley? Like, it always felt strange to get immersed in a first person perspective by looking at a smaller screen and pretending that's me. Which is part of why I'm looking forward to the Oculus Rift, I feel like it might make me finally enjoy first person games.
Also all of the violence. I like Peace and Love, not violence and war. And shooters tend to be among the most violent games.
Splatoon is kind of violent with all the Splatting, but I guess at least everyone is okay. I'm not sure how splatting works to make it less violent...
But it's less violent I think that many other shooter games. It's also nice that it's so colourful! Most other shooter games are very brown and dreary and starring big macho guys. And the gameplay is very different. I feel like Nintendo knew just what shooters had too much of and just what shooters needed, colour and kids and more girliness and different gameplay! This is the first time I've been so interested in a first person or third person shooter.
So that's both of us! Of course that means I'm not very good at aiming or shooting, either.:(
Which is why I focus on the roller. It's going to take a little while to overcome years of inexperience with aiming in games. ^^;
Best of luck to both of us!
