I wish I had recorded that

Ever had that match were you wish you could have gotten a recording/picture of? Well this is the thread to tell your stories of great moments, wild blunders, or silly shenanigans were you wish you had some way to record of what just transpired, but couldn't.

I'll go first: Mahi-Mahi rainmaker

I was on a tri squad up against a quad team. I was E Liter scope, and my teammates had the mini zink and vanilla splatling . Surprisingly our team won the match of a score of 95-60. I took a quick picture of our victory dance and was uploading the picture to my teammates on skype when the kill/splatted results showed. Apparently I did much better than I thought; for I had a kill/splatted ratio of 25:7 (my personal best prior was 20:9). Unfortunately, my phone was uploading the 1st picture I took, and just as I got my camera function back the game sent us back to the lobby. My teammates didn't record the match either since winning on tri-squad is a very hard thing to do. Oh well, maybe next time...

I got my first quad in a match yesterday. Tower Control Arowana Mall, I was using the custom Dual Squelcher. It was relatively even for most of the match, though it looked like we had the better team. With about 1.5 minutes left, they took the lead to like 20 points, and I thought "Great, this is where they turn the match around." so I tried to flank around through closed to get a few splats. I managed to get one, and at the same time, my teammates completely wiped the other three. We started pushing the tower, when I remembered their roller had been placing beacons down, so I quickly went to their closed to destroy the beacons, and splat anyone who jumped. Lucky for me, they all jumped to the closest beacon as I was shooting at it, and I got a triple. The roller was late to the party, and jumped to one of his teammates as I was splatting them, so after a second, my triple turned into a quad, all the while my teammates took the tower all the way to the end.

Yes!,Last night actually. I was in ranked, We were getting crushed in splat zones, and they were about 4 or 5 away from a win. Then in like the last minute and a half or so of the match we made an epic comeback. I helped shut down the areas they ere coming in, and from there we secured the win. It was 65 something to 4 or 5, and we made an epic comeback that I really wished I recorded.

Edit: come to think of it, I did win one match as a tri squad to in turf war. Very hard but it can be done. Its all about that early start; the earlier the better. Swim speed ups help out alot.

It wasn't really notable, but I found it humorous. I was approaching a Squiffer in Ancho-V, and as soon as I dropped down, the Squiffer used a bubbler and splatted my nearby teammate. Panicking, I hid in the little ink there was left, hoping my foe would not notice me. It somehow worked, and I was able to finish them off with a Splat Charger shot right after the bubbler ended.

When at the beginning of an RM match I managed to splat the whole team twice in about 30 seconds and my team still didn't grab the RM, and we almost lost. Just to prove you can't always rely on your teammates.

Then another time when the opponents had got the count to 1 on TC, on of my teammates went down and splatted all of them off the tower, then me and him rode it into overtime, we had each other's back and splatted any threat and one. Our other two teammates we're nowhere to be found. I was shocked we won.

Once squadding it was ancho V rainmaker (~S rank) I swam straight up one of the middle moving platforms, jumped down into enemy's side and in the space of about 10 seconds splatted the whole enemy team with my Carbon Roller. In the end my splat ratio was something like 17/6 and we won.

Agh :')

Sadly I had been recording our matches but I hadn't clicked record that time. Damn!

A few days ago, I was messing around with the Inkbrush in Turf War just to see if I could manage to win some games by simply running around and never swinging. There was a match where I got trapped by two Krak-Ons and a Sploosh... Someone I managed to run straight in-between the Krak-ons and run from the Sploosh until a teammate killed them. It was actually hilarious how much trouble they were having in hitting me. x)

I was practicing the eliter scope a while ago. Walleye warehouse was selected and I camped on the snipe crate. I fell down to the right accidentally, and then I heard a terrifying "ping" sound. A kraken swam inches away from me. I thought I was going to die. But instead, it swam in a perfect straight line, as if it did not notice me. That's when I noticed another kraken of my colour following it. The two krakens chased around as if they were a couple, and it was the funniest thing I have ever seen. I wish I recorded it.

I went 11/0 with a Custom E-Liter in Splat Zones earlier. *o* And only four of those splats were with the Kraken. >w< Seeing as how I usually can't hit anything with an E-Liter, I was actually really proud of myself and I wish I had been recording that. xD

I may have said this before, but anytime you bump into somebody using a brush or Carbon Roller when they're hiding in their ink is a time for panic, unless you can splat them before they can counterattack. And of course, there is inherent hilarity in the event of two rollers crashing into (and killing) each other.

So when I, using my Inkbrush, and an opponent, using a Carbon Roller, bumped into each other when the both of us had already taken serious damage...

I pulled off a very peculiar play a few weeks ago in Turf War on Moray Towers.

It was me using a Jr. against a Charger sitting on top of a square of high ground. Determined to persuade 'em out of that spot, I throw a Splat Bomb at their direction, which ends up dangling on the edge of the square. Naturally, the sniper jumps off to lower ground.

As soon as the sniper jumps off, the dangling bomb falls from the edge, hits the ground, and promptly explodes right next to the sniper.

They didn't make it.

A tentatek swam passed me (the kelp scope) after I missed my first shot, I charged up again and immediately turned the camera 180 degrees and pulled the trigger. Best kill I've had in a while.
