Ink Color hasn't changed over a month

For whatever reason, every time my friend plays Splatoon; the ink color for him are always purple and yellow. They never change, and it's been like this for him for over a month. Has anyone had the same problem, and if so, how did you fix it.

He says he hasn't touched the settings since around the launch of the game, to increase the sensitivity. But he'll check when he gets home.

Yup, just checked. There's an option called "Color Lock". Your friend must've set it on by accident one day. It forces only two colors for the whole game for colorblinded people to enjoy the game just as much as us.
