Inkling vocal effect?

So I make music and videos and things, and I really love Splatoon, so I've decided to try and make some Splatoon videos.

I've seen several people making Splatoon covers of songs with the vocals modulated to sound like inklings. However, none of them have given away the secret to this practice. Does anybody know how this is done, preferably in Audacity or FL Studio?
