Is there any reason we still use the Splatoon 1 icons for returned maps?

Now that Splatnet has been shut down, Splatoon 1 stages can't be announced anymore, which leads me to question why we still use the old icons for Port Mackerel and Moray Towers among others. It's not a big deal, but I was just wondering if anyone has given this some thought.
