Judd's owner? (Octo Expansion Spoilers)

So, you probably know this, but for those who don't, Judd was cryogenically frozen by his owner when humanity was nearing extinction. He was later awoken 12,000 years later, when squids became the dominant species. Judd's owner is a professor, and that got me thinking: Is Judd's owner the same professor who created Commander Tartar from the Octo Expansion? It could just be a coincidence, but who knows? What do you guys think?

Interesting theory, and completely possible. A person who'd want to preserve his cat for future races would certainly be the kind who would want to "share humanity's knowledge with the next worthy species" or whatever. It'd be nice if they could add more sunken scrolls or something of the like to confirm it one way or the other.
