Yo!
First, to get the most obvious thing out of the way: I'm aware there's a discord where I can probably find a lot of the stuff I want to know. But I'd rather ask here where it'll be way way easier to look back at and I can make one big long post and not feel like I'm interrupting some other conversation.
I'm looking for a few resources to help me learn the important competitive basics - There's stuff that i will just learn with time (like getting used to the gyro aiming after being stubborn about it since the first game), map layouts, which hats I like best - but there's also stuff that's not as immediately apparent (to me, at least) and that stuff is the stuff I'm really after
So for example stuff like:
Positioning,
ways to move better,
valuable movement tech (if there is any),
weapon roles,
strengths and weaknesses of the various types of weapons (and differences when you get into each type as well),
how to use the various subweapons and supers ( I forgot their name) effectively,
strengths and weaknesses of the subweapons and supers too,
how to support the objectives effectively, and any stuff I should especially pay attention to when I'm playing.
I don't play a lot of ranked, but I love improving at games, and I think there's a lot of fun to be had (even in turf war ROFL) by learning to control my octoling better and by learning how to most effectively use the weapons i choose.
I got the link for sendou.ink in another thread here, so I've already got a great resource to see and experiment with gear builds.
that's pretty much it - looking forward to seeing what there is to learn!
