This all started when I tried making sense of Splatoon's weapon sets, and discovered they were more than probably developed to give mains different options across the four game modes. Now while many still believe that some sets are wholeheartedly superior to the other (carbon deco vs vanilla carbon, for instance), I still believe there are no bad sets, and that understanding the purpose of a set makes you better as a main of your weapon.

All this to say that I've been putting my theory to practice and writing Anarchy guides on gamefaqs.com to justify which set of a weapon excels in which mode. Because gamefaqs had a minimum size requirement, these evolved into full-fledged guides. I'm at 30 guides so far and wish to increase visibility. I fully understand that video guides (YouTube) might be better but I simply do not have the technology. ItchyOliver is my gamefaqs account name.

you must understand how useless you are if you fire for more than a second straight. - .96 Gal Overview
🤣

I did not know the actual stats of the .96's degenerating accuracy, I only just assumed the first 2 shots were more accurate! Does every automatic shooter have shot degeneracy? Do blasters have it?

Very thorough guides, thanks for writing!

Not Splash, Squeezer or either Nozzlenoses. For other shooters, each shot has a base percentage to shoot towards the outer reticle, and that percentage increases the more you fire. When you stop firing, shot degeneracy goes away, at a certain rate. Blasters are all straight shots as long as you stay on the ground.

we need more guide exposure, but im not sure it needs to be your gamefaqs ones. id prefer if more weapon specialists or really good comp players of weapons would make resources for their respective weapons.

I'm a really good player that has played competitive before and knows the weapons in & out. You're not the first to notice that the more a person writes about weapons, the less respect he gets for writing them

i said someone who plays competitive WITH the weapons. i doubt you've run 30+ weapons at a high level. and "has played competitive" doesn't really mean much as an ethos, not doubting that you may have some results but that isnt super clear.

Consider them SoloQ guides for the time being, then. The theory that some sets work better in some modes rather than others is a SoloQ thing. These are all "Anarchy Mode guides" after all.

I believe you can post your guides here, but it’s important to clarify your amount of experience with each weapon. People who want to learn will be happy to read, say, a Rapid Blaster onetrick’s extensive guide on Rapid with evidence and anecdotes from their extensive tournament runs and scrims with it compared to someone who picks it up every 2 weeks for a very specific mapmode.
