N-Zap 85 or N-Zap 89? Also N-Zap 83 missing?

As someone who's been using the N-Zap weapons since the first game, I'm glad to see they're still around though I wish the N-Zap 83 was in the game as well :( As for which one I prefer using, I highly prefer the N-Zap 85 because it has a better kit overall compared to the 89 which has a bad special in my eyes unlike in Splatoon 2! For all of the N-Zap players in here, which one do you prefer and why? Also do you think the N-Zap 83 should make a comeback and if it ever does, what kind of kit should it have?

As a Tacticooler main (I'm only half joking), I use N-ZAP '85 way more often. However, '89 is fun to bust out during Splatfests given how cheap its Chumps are, especially considering how well the main weapon paints! I do also have a bit of a soft spot for '89 because it was one of my Splatoon 2 mains, right next to Splat Dualies on the list of frontline weapons with counterintuitive Tenta Missiles.

I'm normally not supportive of shooters as weapons, but the N-ZAP '85 (not the '89) is one of few exceptions.
Having a shooter that's actually supposed to be mobile and good at painting to support its team makes it a lot more reasonable.
If I ever feel the need to play a full auto shooter, you can bet I'm playing the N-ZAP '85.
As for the '83, assuming it will reappear, I think it's likely to get a reference kit in the form of Sprinkler + Kraken Royale. Though I'm fairly certain that Nintendo will only be giving each weapon two kits in Splatoon 3, at least on the Switch.

Really? Why not '89? I feel like the second half of this applies to that weapon too. Not that I think 170p is how it should have been buffed, but I like the kit itself a lot.

Autobomb spam.
So.
Many.
Chickens.
Really leaves a bad taste in your mouth.
No other weapon spams them nearly as much.

I also dislike weapons that are both more annoying and less powerful than their alternate kits in general.
Genuinely, why are you picking the Gold Dynamo? To have a lethal bomb? To be a nuisance? There's no good answer.
Why pick the '89? No good reason. This extends to Neo Splash, T'tek, and Enperries as well. Gold Naut, Brush Nouveau, REEF-LUX Deco, vTri, and especially vSqueezer. To name a few.
Maybe I just don't like people in general...

Not related but Nintendo are wusses for not making the N-Zap 83 the real Famicom Light Gun (If you didn't know the Famicom's N-Zap was just an actual revolver, that's why so many light-gun games were Wild-West based)

I just use N-Zap '85 due to the almost exact shooting speed as Aerospray RG (seriously it has almost the same exact speed)

What if N-Zap was named N-Freak and it inked splatzones and ate chumps

The N-ZAP actually has the exact same fire rate as the Splattershot Jr., Splash-o-Matic, and Sploosh-o-Matic.
The Aerospray fires slightly faster than other fast-firing shooters, firing five shots in the time it takes an N-ZAP to fire four.
This also gives Aerospray a slightly higher DPS than the other fast-firing shooters, despite having a slower time to splat.
The more you know.
