New Pokemon Magiana Has Been Revealed!

Magiana is a man-made Pokemon from 500 years ago and it seems like only Volcanion is the only one who knows its secret.

maybe and maybe not. for all we know, it could be a 6th gen pokemon that was yet to be revealed (or leaked).

OMG I LOVE IT ALREADY, it's seriously too cute :3 its features remind me a lot of a Pokeball (look at its lower body and chest), so maybe we might have another manmade Pokémon like the Magnemite evolution line or the Grimer line? Given it got leaked in next month's CoroCoro, but wasn't discovered in the code on either of the Gen 6 games, I think it's not a wild guess that Magiana may the first Pokémon of Gen 7. In an interview last year some guy from TPC said Pokken wasn't the biggest thing for Pokémon and unless they were referring to Pokémon GO, that probably meant the introduction of a new generation was coming. Gen 6 got announced at around the same time in 2013 and Zoroark (the first known Gen 5 Pokémon) was leaked in a similar way. I wouldn't be surprised to see an announcement for a Pokémon Direct on the 27th soon, because Pokémon can't keep us waiting much longer now. I think the Gen 7 announcement is nearly upon us >_>

Don't tell me Pokemon is going to adopt the "super-advanced ancient civilization" sci fi gimmick. I'm not sure how I feel about this. Plot aside, it looks pretty cool. Kinda like a mechanical Diancie. Perhaps it's a new Carbink evolution?

Doubt it. And i honestly hope not. Diancie (and carbink too) already had it's own movie and giving it another seems excessive.

Given it's appearance, I'm thinking it'll be a steel/fairy typing, which would put in up there with Sableye in terms of type advantages and minimal weaknesses, maybe even better (been a while since I've taken a good look at a typing chart). This is cool and all, but I still wish they'd do more with bug and poison types. There's not enough ballin' poison pokemon, but there's so many poisonous animals they could base them off of.

I find the name to be pretty creative. A combination of gear and machina that makes it sound like it's a magical creature. It's english name would most likely be different, but i hope they keep it the way it is.

The official English name is Magearna and it's a mythical Pokemon.
