This is a general round up right now. As new updates, weapons, news, etc... is announced I'll make a post here!
Splatoon comes out on May 29th. Preload the game to your Wii U now to begin playing as soon as possible. The game will feature 3 main modes. Octo Valley, Battle Dojo, and Inkopolis Tower.

Octo Valley is single player only and will let you fight against the Octarians in approximately 28 levels. Each level hold a secret Sunken Scroll to find. The ultimate goal is help Cap'n Cuttlefish recover the Zapfish.

Battle Dojo is the 2 Player local mode of Splatoon. Players use the GamePad and TV to fight for the most ballons. The mode will end when someone has popped 30 ballons or after 5 minuets time.

Inkopolis Tower is home to Regular Battles (Turf Wars) and Ranked Battles (Splat Zones, Tower Control, etc...) Internet is required. Ranked Battles will not be available until a certain number of people globally have reached level 10 from Regular Battles. Ranks between the 2 battle modes are separate.

All 4 Splatoon Global Testfire times have been held as of May 23. The software is now unavailable in the eShop.
Nintendo has announced that levels from Octo Valley are at certain BestBuy and GameStop locations. See here for more info.

Forgot that there is also the amiibo Box in Inkopolis Crossing. There you are able to scan in the Inkling Boy, Girl, and Squid. The Girl will provide 20 Charger Challenges for various Octo Valley stages. Inkling Boy will give you Roller Challenges and the Inkling Squid will give both Kraken and Limited Ink Challenges. Beating series of challenges will unlock new gear and beating all the challenges will unlock new 8-Bit Squid Games.

Reviews for Splatoon are starting to come in! Most reviewers agree that it's a great game. Great mechanics, fun modes, decent sound track, great atmosphere. But ti appears the lack of content right now is a big thing. Here's hoping we don;t have to wait long for the next Turf War/Splat Zone maps to come out, or until Tower Control comes out.

New weapons are incoming! Tonight at 9PM CT we will be getting the Carbon Roller and Custom Dual Squecher. In addition, on June 30th we wil get an update (1.3.0) which fixes stuff for Splatfest, weapons, and other bugs.
