Splatoon 1 Pretendo (and preserving the competitive scene in the future.)

Nintendo Network will be shutting down next month, and so will be the entirety of the online scene of Splatoon 1.

Pretendo Network will probably release some time after the shutdown, wich will allow our WiiUs to reconnect with online services, however i feel that we need to make a group to regain the ability to play matches consistently and group up to improve our skills and preserve the scene.

Was the competitive scene actually alive when the servers shut down? That's a genuine suprise to me.
