Question about Tower's returning to mid

Does anyone know, if the tower is moving back towards mid, does it go any faster if someone is on it?

I know it cancels the delay after the pushing team has moved off it but when it's in transit, does it move faster?

It does not, if the Tower is on your side, just jump on it so it begins it's return then jump off.
