Rainmaker Shield Glitch?

I doubt it's just me, but is anyone else getting splatted by the RM shield before it bursts?

I get the message saying that I got splatted by the Rainmaker's shield yet the shield is still intact, and also dominant in my team's color. The gear that shows up is also mine.

Touching the shield can also kill you if you're already damaged.

Were you standing next to a wall? I've been crushed by the shield a couple times.

The shield itself no matter who's color is shooting it will damage you if your touching it.

Like the others said, the shield likely expanded and crushed you if you didn't see a splat and your own gear shows up. It's happened to me a few times. In fact, you can go into recon mode in the lobby during a rainmaker shift and then keep running into the shield, and you'll eventually splat.

This happens to me a lot in port Mackerel, the shield keeps crushing me against the containers.
