Random areas I like in the game

Taking a break from talking about weapon balance to post some more screenshots.

It's a bit funny that there's this jellyfish trying to get the kid jellyfish to calm down in the museum while Inklings/Octoling are busy fighting outside.

The art being displayed around the stage is really nice! I also personally enjoy this specific piece, the small inkling being held is probably my favorite detail.

An inaccessible out of bounds area that's closed off by doors?? Of course I had to share it here, lol. I think what I really like the most are the stairs that lead outside and into another part of the museum. It looks strange and out of place but that's why it's interesting to me.

Putting these together because they're basically from the same area but I love how these statues are both based off inkling forms but were made with a much different approach. The one on the left is smooth and a little more abstract (not sure how else to describe it) while the one on the right seems to be made out of some rough material and is extremely accurate to how the inkling form looks. Personally, that implies to me that these statues were made at different times.

Posting some screenshots I took before Grand Fest started. Some of them fit the title of the thread but this is more about just me wanting to share what I have.

This is probably my favorite screenshot from today.

I don't know why but this particular spot feels really nostalgic to me even though I've never played S1. I especially like seeing when the train passes by here.

I'm surprised I didn't remember how nice this area looks right before a Splatfest. I've glitched my way inside before as well but that process can take forever so I didn't try doing it this time.

The lighting here looks amazing on Grizzco!

I don't think I've shared this spot before back when I first started this thread but here it is now. It's probably my favorite area in Splatsville and it looks even better during a sunset. Just a completely pointless section in the hub that doesn't lead to anywhere but that just makes it so much cooler.

I love this little area behind spawn. The statues look so nice and the water? I LOVE how the water looks! You can even seen an exhibition (I hope I'm using the right word) inside the building next to the statues.

This spot on the right side of spawn is kind of funny to me. They could have just left the ramp by itself but nope, this bench was just too important lol.

Going even further back, you can see this entire inaccessible area which just looks very nice and interesting to me.

Moving the camera over to the right side shows off another area that I find even more interesting. There's technically less going on here but it's another one of those cases where the game shows me that there's a path leading somewhere else but won't let me actually see it. I also love that little island in the background.

Museum is definitely one of the prettier maps, along with Bluefin Depot. In fact, I think all the returning Splatoon 1 stages look awesome graphically, despite some of their designs being neutered.

I wish Flounder Heights wasn't changed because the look it had in S1 was AMAZING.

Finally posting some Grand Fest screenshots here!

Having to head to Grand Fest from here was such a nice experience. I know they already showed some of this area from the Grand Fest trailer but I didn't expect it to look this good.

I love seeing paths or rails that lead far away from where the player is allowed to be. It really gives the feeling that there's more out there that you could explore beyond what you're able to see, even though that's not really the case.

It only makes sense that the final big Splatfest ends with a view of the upside down Eiffel Tower. It's the first thing that stood out to me when I saw the reveal of S3 during the Nintendo Direct.

Little Buddy being right next to the trash can is so funny.

Shout out to these two jellyfish just dancing right outside the entrance!

I meant to post these yesterday but I ended up just playing a lot of Tricolor

The entrance to the Grand Festival looks amazing! I already knew it would because we saw it in the Grand Fest reveal trailer but it feels really nice being able to finally see it in game.

I didn't notice these guys when I first explored the area but they were really funny to look at once I did. I also thought they were just silly decorations that weren't actually on the food that the jellyfish bought but that didn't end up being the case which makes it funnier.

I didn't expect Acht to be here but I'm really glad they are! It's honestly pretty cool seeing this character who I never expected to be in anything big actually end up being one of the main characters in Side Order and also be included in Grand Fest.

I love how you can see Splatsville and the Grand Splatlands Bowl from here. I was originally going to say how I wish I could get to explore around here but I did actually end up finding a way to get there, lol. I'll post more about that later.

Are some from game designers? Also someone on tumblr recognized the idols signatures

OTH’s are the bottom right two on the purple banner. Deep Cut’s are the bottom left three on the green banner. Callie and Marie’s are the top left two on the pink banner.

I also saw some people mention the signatures on Twitter but I never considered the possibility of some of them being from the developers. That would be pretty cool if it's true.
