Running Problem in TV Mode

My character walks when I move the LS forward in TV Mode. In Portable Mode my character runs when I move the LS forward. I just bought my Switch so doubt it's the left Joy-Con issue. The strange thing is when I move my camera so that I am looking at my character from the side my character then runs. Only when I have the camera facing my characters back will they start walking. Anyone else have this problem? I have turned off motion controls and that didn't fix the problem. Any help would be most appreciated. Right now I am unable to play Splatoon 2 in TV Mode because I just walk and it gets me killed in matches.

Sounds like the left analog stick is misaligned. Try resyncing it to the console, making sure the stick is exactly centered.
