Splatfest Solutions

What will be the best solution for the NA Splatfest problem?

  • Nothing. Splatfests are fine the way they are.

  • Change the wins multiplier to x4

  • Change the wins multiplier to x3

  • Change the wins multiplier to x2

  • Have better options, where the popularity is actually close.

The enormous cost and time consumption of build construction is, imo, one of the biggest problems of the game and possibly the biggest factor that could inhibit the longevity of Splatoon. There are so many builds I want to explore, but the fact that it could take up to about 4,500 re-rolls just to get a triple of a desired ability on a single piece of gear is going to seriously prevent me, and countless others, from exploring those builds. I wish they'd make it so that the player can re-roll individual slots instead of 3 at a time. It would save the player countless hours of tedious re-rolling and, at the same time, devalue snails enough to the point where players aren't as likely to resort to unscrupulous methods to get them.

We're not talking about the Splatfest battles, but the choices and results.
the thread reads splatfest solutions NOT splatfest choices and results.
The battles are part of splatfest so.... I see that the biggest problem are the battles (casuals vs tryhards) so the obvious solution would be better match making. Based on rank, lvl, win eate ect or even give player lobby options based on how serious you're gonna get (for fun, for glory, for tryhards)

You know, a For Fun/For Glory thing would be cool, but it's basically summed up in Turf and Ranked. And we're trying to think up a solution for people flocking to a specific team just to win. I'll admit that I'm one of those :P But it's no fun when you lose. And there's Super Sea Snails at stake.

It would be nice if splatfest was splat zones n turf war only ,separating casuals n competitive players. The only thing is some players might go onto turf wars with the intent to pick on the lil woomys
If that's the case better match making overall would fix that. It would also eliminate having nuetral themes since the matches will have equal level of skill on both teams. And honestlynuetral themes a sucky n boring idea

lol'ing at the people thinking Splatfests are fine, but they're not (especially not for NA regardless of ones' defilement of the thought). They need to lower the multiplier between 2x-3x, devalue Snails by giving us more options to get them, or have an alternative currency as the higher winning prize (at every rank, you get snails, but people get bonus XP or coins if they win or not). Otherwise, I'm not touching another new Nintendo IP dealing with shooters.
