Splatling changes from Splat1 to Splat2?

Apparently, the splatlings got a nerf from the first game to the second, but I can't find out what that change is.

I think the only thing that was changed was how much Run Speed Up increases your movement.

I used to love the Heavy Splatling in 1. So like you I can't put my finger on it, but something seems slower and weaker about it in Splatoon 2.
