According to a member on my group who moderates a forum that uses the same software as these forums, they're bots who got through the forum's filters. There is no possible way for the moderators or admins to prevent them from showing up. This problem has to be fixed by the forum software's developer, Xyelot. The only thing we can do is report whenever they show up and let the mods take care of it. The sooner you report, the faster they go away.
