Yeah I figured the more matches you do during times when people from the same region (Some miiverse communities are separated by region) you will get more likes. The game also sees your post as kind of 'trending' so it will throw it into other plazas even if you didn't play them. It's a snowball effect. Speaking of which I saw your drawing in my plaza and gave it a +Yeah the other day. Nice work.

And mind your time- Playing late at night wont do anything for you since the Japanese players can't see our Miiverse posts and vise versa.
