No, uh:

-It's way more reliable, at least for using stealth swim's maximum speeds. A lot of us find carefully tilting the stick to be unbearable in the heat of combat if we try to get a good speed out of it without going over.

-It has maximum acceleration rather than a partial one because it's based on fully throttling the stick.
