i'm guessing due to the inkling's natural normal kid look from the neck downwards, i honestly wish the ink tanks adapted to favorite color instead of always being orange for girls and dark blue for boys though.

That is true, the bodies look like a normal person, making it good for the Mii's human appearance. (I like the Smash T-Shirts they added for this reason too.) The hair, on the other hand, just doesn't seem to fit right on the Miis' heads.

I just noticed while watching this video that the mii gunner's charging attack looks like the murder beam glitch from super metroid.

Also man I wish they added a splatoon song to smash alongside the costumes.

Lol, why did they make such ugly looking inkling miis? Inklings eyes connect and they don't wear lipstick.

Or maybe somethings like this but with the line between the eyes raised higher, and bigger eyebrows.
