I don't recall ever getting into that specific of a question in a lot of ways that could apply to S-BLAST. Like, there are a bunch of points with Decav where I got the feeling my teammates needed me to paintbot or something. Still a few bullet points though...
- Especially long-ranged teammates that don't have AoE usually love playing to open sightlines and can force people behind cover where additional, but still cautious pressure can still be applied. This doesn't always mean directly approaching them either even if it can. Being more proactive about pushing up and taking the space that this person wants to, but is now struggling to can be a big deal.
- If a teammate has good Tacticooler output, I play a lot more defensively in general until they have drinks ready.
- Mostly a solo queue example, but if my team comp is something like, for example, Sploosh + Brush + Tetras + me, then I go into the game expecting nobody to play even remotely cautious. You need to be ready to match their pace while also trying to stay alive since there's a good chance nobody else will budge on that.
- Another mostly solo queue example but double backline comps usually end up being very slow and struggling to make progress. I usually end up playing super aggressively in a desperate attempt to get something going. This probably isn't right though, you should probably try not to make any super bold plays until there's a player advantage.
And here's the fun part - these rules can very easily bend, especially in solo queue which I know you play. I've had games with a Heavy Edit that has only managed one Tacticooler over five minutes, or games in that third example where the Brush ends up sitting back and spamming bombs so they don't die as much. It really helps to notice the patterns of your teammates during a game so you can play around whatever they're giving you. In those examples, I usually ignore playing around Tacticooler in the former case, and in the latter case I usually start playing a bit more aggressive than I would otherwise.
In general, though, most of playing around teammates isn't something I've felt to be comp-specific. Maybe it is and it's something I don't usually think about but it's more about everyone's positioning than weapon choice. In theory getting put with a solo queue comp like Ttek + Dread + Pencil should be a super methodical, more defensive game since most Tteks and Dreads are going to want to play their weapons supportively, but I've run into quite a few of both that like to dive in a lot. Usually you just need to position in such a way that ideally you can help start 2v1s or help teammates that get attacked quickly.
