Splatoon 2 The November update's content and meta shift

So. Much. New. Content. In. This. News drop.
And so much which will affect gameplay, and most likely the meta to a pretty good degree.

We have, from the trailer,

• 2 returning maps - Walleye Warehouse and Arowana Mall, with the latter visibly having some noticeable changes.
• A handful of new weapons, old, new, and variants, with a totally new type (the Squeezer) also coming.
• At least 1 weapon change, that being in the Brella, which can now seemingly fire while it is opened according to the trailer.
  
• A totally new ranked mode, in Clam Blitz, which has a focus on collecting small items littered across the map.

We can also safely say that a balance patch is on the way, so various weapons could get nerfed, buffed, or reworked. Furthermore, weapons not yet released in the list of datamined weapons will likely get released with this, or soon after. Who knows what else the update data could bring in this regard too.

All of this is very wholesome food for discussion.

Pretty sure that’s not an update for all brellas, but simply a new brella. Slightly smaller, but can attack and block simultaneously. Not sure whether or not this is the Sorella brella, though

Not Sorella Brella, that's the variant for the Splat Brella. Currently calling it Compact/Carbon Brella. Seems OP if it can shoot and block at the same time.

I was one of the only ones saying how Under-powered it'll be because of how slow the shield will be and how much ink it'll take B). Besides It'll be like having a splash wall 24/7.

I’m expecting the new brella too have a weaker shield and shots then the regular brella.
(looking at the trailer, the shield broke fairly quikly, and it was a 3-shot while other brella’s would have been a 2-shot)
Doubt it’ll be OP.
From what we’ve been shown, it seems to an weaker but faster brella variant, making it very good at fast combat.
But not in extended combat.
(comparable to the carbon roller class)

The jet sqeulcher seems to be raising in usage after the shot speed buff.
Otherwise, nothing changed in the meta as of now.
Also i appriciate the reduced enemy ink effects on you since that leaded to some frustration to my sometimes. xD

As of today, the meta is pretty much unchanged. The Tri-Slosher may see more use with it's enhancement but no more than the similar N-Zap, and the Jet's popularity's going up a notch, but beyond that everything's the same as it ever was. Splashdown was untouched and remains king of the specials.

Oh, and burst bombs got kicked in the junk, but that won't stop the burst bomb mains of the world.
