The testing range is pretty useful. You can get a feel for your weapon's range and how much damage it does... and that's about it.

There's a lot of room to expand the testing capabilities of the range, for example, letting players change their gear from inside the range, or even better, letting them choose their own abilities to equip in the testing range would make testing abilities so much easier.

Another thing that would be great is if there were things that could attack you in the testing range. The idea I had was for an inkling robot to just hang out in some corner of the testing range. To change its weapon, you'd walk up to it and press A, and then it would have the weapon you do. It wouldn't move and would always face you, and you could operate its weapon with the arrow buttons. Up would be its ZR (fire main), right would be its R (sub) and left would be its R stick (special). It would never run out of ink, special meter, or health. Down would let you change the robot's abilities.
This addition would let so many more things be tested like the strength of brellas, baller, ink armor, and splash wall. Tons of abilities would be able to tested as well like bomb defense up, ink resistance up, all the respawn abilities (because it would be able to splat you), cold blooded, and object shredder.

Some other enhancements that should be added include a rainmaker shield to see how many hits your weapon takes to bust it, and letting the rainmaker be one of the weapons available to use in the testing range.

That's all of my ideas. What do you think? Does the testing range need an upgrade? Do you have any ideas? Leave a comment and let everyone know.
