Playing a lot of Ranked changed my mindset a lot. I started Splatoon almost exclusively playing Turf wars, and after that, got addicted to Ranked because I thought the different modes of play were fun and interesting. Working myself up to an A-rank, I rarely returned to Turf. Once I did, without even thinking, I just rushed over to the enemies and started splatting like some kind of psycho spree killer. When they were all dead, I looked around me and thought, "What now? Oh, wait, I'm supposed to ink..."
