Off topic but I think I played a match against you on Arowana Rainmaker just a couple hours ago! Were you a boy using an octoshot?

On topic I've been falling out of S a lot lately. It used to bother me a lot.. now I guess I'm numb to it. I dunno. I feel if others can make it to S+ 99 and I cant, theres more to it than being dealt ****ty cards. I gotta get better.
That was probably me if the player was awesome if not it was not me.. ;) warghoul is my squids name so more than likely it was me.

I got splatted by you at least once, and I know my team lost. My name is in japanese though so you probably wouldnt have recognized it. But I was jet squelching. hehe

The reason I said that I've had my S rank taken away from me so many times is because of how many times I have gotten a few points away from getting back to a S rank and have a teammate disconnect or a communication error during the match that would have leveled me up. That's what's getting me salty.
Still, it's just a few disconnections. I mean, obviously this is salty, but to go from A+ to S you just need, I don't know, maybe 55% victories. You have some disconnections ? Then get to 60%, and you'll just go S. Just improve a tiny little bit and you'll be a proud S, even if you have some disconnections - but don't let the salt go with yu in the following games. You lose one or two because disconnections, alright, but don't let it angr you or something, because this is what will make you lose games you should have won.

I know this may seem a bit "unkind", but think about it: what would you say to a B+ saying "I can't get A- because of some disconnections"? You would think "well, I have them too yet I still got to A+". And don't overestimate S or S+, they are only humans with lots of mistakes, just make them pay for them :)

About the internet, I have Ethernet and think it's better than when I was playing without it (I guess I get disconnected one out of 1000 games? While before I would say maybe 1-2 times a day, I don't really remember). Yet I can't garantee it will be good for you... Still it's worth a try, as you can find adapters not too pricy. Maybe you can try the "internet manual settings" things before, as it's free. Sorry I don't know how it's called in english, but it's about setting your connection all by yourself by following a Nintendo step by step tutorial.

Actually, I have a funny story about that. The first time I got to S rank I was caught completely off guard. It was so crazy and I was not prepared for it. As you can guess I lost many matches. I decided to stop playing right when I was 6 points away from dropping back to an A+. Couple of days later, I was playing Splatoon at my college and my friends wanted to see me play a Rank Match. I decided what the heck even though I wasn't playing well that day. I would just lose 5 points and be at 00 points. So as I predicted, I lost the match but instead of losing the usual 5 points, I lost exactly 6 points and dropped down to an A+. This happened the day before they had the update making it only possible to lose 5 points in S rank. I've actually only gotten to S rank twice. The reason I said that I've had my S rank taken away from me so many times is because of how many times I have gotten a few points away from getting back to a S rank and have a teammate disconnect or a communication error during the match that would have leveled me up. That's what's getting me salty.
That's frustrating :)

On a side note, if as an S you play a mixed rank game with A+ or lower and are on the higher ranked team you will probably lose 6 or 7 points, even if the difference between teams is only one player who is one rank difference (like A vs A+). I even lost 7 points yesterday when I was on the lower ranked team! That makes me salty and I pretty much always exit the mixed lobby. Too bad because I'm otherwise quite happy to play with other rank players.

My net here is super weird. I live in in an apartment complex and the internet here is great when it comes to anything but Splatoon. Splatoon is the only online multiplayer game that will act up here. It constantly will disconnect me saying that I have no internet even though my sister's sitting right by me on her laptop. Sometimes I can play all day, sometimes I can't play at all. I noticed that it works slightly better at night. Since it's so weird, I usually only play Rank Matches at my friends or the college I go to. There are sometimes where I attempt to play Rank Matches here if the internet is being stable. I am not using a wired USB adapter. Should I try it?
I don't know if you have access to the router settings, but your router may have a QoS setting where you can prioritise game traffic. It's usually easy to turn on. Others on the network would probably not notice any difference but maybe it'd help Splatoon. The wired adapter can be good, just try and get a decent cat6 cable to go with it for best performance.
