What do you guys think of the new maps?

I think they're GREAT!

Some of the maps in Splatoon 1 feel kind of awkward or aggrivating to play on, like frickin SALTSPRAY RIG.
But the new maps feel a lot more comfortable.

I don't know, I suck at explaining things.

But uh, what do you guys think of the new maps?

Same here, i've enjoyed all the new maps so far.
Also love how they revamped pork mackerel because i honestly hated its original design
And on a side note, you didn't like Saltspray?!?! That was my favorite map :/

I HATED Saltspray Rig too!

The new maps are okay...still getting used to them really.

Let's just say that asymmetry isn't this game's strong suit.

let's just say that splat zones on that map was absolutely terrible.

I love the new maps in this game, but there are some that fall short of me.
I don't dislike any of the maps, but Sturgeon Shipyard isn't my favorite because it is SO easy to base invade right from the start.
If you have the baller special, you basically just ink your base then go straight across the small center and into the base with the baller.
But I do like the moving platforms, which kind of make me laugh because when they are straight up, you get points for inking what looks like a wall.

agree with sturgeon shipyard, i'm learning to like it but it's not my favorite of the bunch, I think my favorite maps are the reef and starfish mainstage

Honestly, dig all of the new maps, except for Sturgeon Shipyard. Oh, and really disappointed to see Moray Towers return. Didn't like it in the first game, and I still don't like it in this game.

I love Humpback Pump Track so much. It reminds me of Blackbelly Skatepark but so much more roller-friendly. Starfish Mainstage is also a fave - especially during splat zones. Can't say I was super happy about the return of Moray Towers but I suppose it can be fun in certain modes

While the maps do feel a bit less memorable, gameplay wise I think they're a huge step up from the first game.
