What Potential do you think Splatoon has as an E-Sport?

We all saw the Evo ads, but do you think that Splatoon is viable for competitive E-Sports, especially with the new update?

But there hasn't been a whole lot of evidence gathered to suggest that it's not a competitive gamemode, don't jump to a conclusion about it's competitive merit just yet.

Shouldn't this thread be moved to competetive discussion tho?

there is LAN now, I think. Patch notes said that Wii U's can play together over local internet. It does need a controllable spectator mode to be able to commentate matches easily, having several different captures to switch between gets messy easily.
