I have two ideas for Splatoon 4, but I'm gonna combine them because that would be very original. So, the main hub is an Octarian rural farm town where country-like accents are the most used and how most talk. The lore of the town states that the remaining normal tentacle Octarians who are still underground in Octo Valley and Octo Canyon decide to colonize a very fertile land, in order to finance their town, sporty ink battles between Octolings are held and thanks to Octarian technology, the same kind of sporty ink battles that occur in the cities can also be held in the country. There are only two idols this time, but the duo is composed of a male Inkling and a female Octoling this time.

Oh yeah, Inklings would be the DLC-locked characters this time around.

Honestly i'm perfectly happy with S3, i just need to find time to start playing it seriously again. I'm glad it's going to exist because of the new players and i know a lot of people want to see something new but i hope they don't change the core of what makes S3 so fun for me. no don't ask me to define what that is

Oh yeah and i'd probably buy a switch 2 for it since that's primarily where the competitive scene is going to be. Until then there's no reason to buy one because my Switch 1 can play splatoon and that's all i need it to do

heh glad u asked tbh i'm all in for the lore and story, we potentially go to the great turf war (i rlly hope we do) i want to get to know more about cuttlefish or octavio and how it became a war (srry 4 bad explaining) i'm more into story concepts and i'm rlly excited for the potential, might get a switch 2 but mostly bc's of the graphics and storage space

I want the campaign to be The Great Turf War (because team past won) but I hope the main game is in the present day because if the entire game is in the past then we don't get new ABXY music and I would feel sad if we didn't get more. Maybe time machine? Seeing Octarian tech in main battles would be cool too. We got some in Splatoon thanks to Marina, but more would be nice.

I feel like a cool past-themed splatter shot could be made out of bamboo with the tank being a bamboo shoot. And to keep the cuttlegear theme it could have autobomb and splashdown (inner agent 3 reference)

Splatoon 4 needs better stage design. That comes first.
There needs to be a player home since you get so many decorations but so little locker space for quality of life.
And call me biased but Splatoon 4 needs cuter fashions.

I sure hope that would mean selectable skins for the same item, which would open up a lot of possibilities for weapon skins, and that really excites me.

My idea for idols / Splatfest was to have four idols (haha Splatoon 4) as a whole band could do the news. Then I agree that Splatfests should return to two teams, but then the four idols can divide 2 and 2 between the two teams. It wouldn't be the same two pairs every time to keep it more interesting and reduce the influence any one idol has over which team gets picked. Even if it does influence it, the main focus once again becomes the which team you want to pick.
