Why are there always 150 viewers listen in the "Members Online" thing on the sidebar, regardless of what time it is?

I've noticed that no matter what time I'm on Squidboards, there's always 150 anonymous viewers listed in the "Members Online" box. Why is that? Are they bots or something?

Web scrapers, most likely; bots that trawl the internet, scraping websites for some data or another. I guarantee that at least some of those anonymous users are real people, but given the clientele of this website and its current relevance, most of those are gonna be scrapers.
