Worst Game Losing Flops

Those matches where you can keep the main area of the map locked down on Turf Wars, but at the last 30 seconds you lose control and it avalanches to your team's defeat. Satisfying if it's the other way around.

Lately I've been having a problem with whipping out the Inkzooka at the worst possible time. I don't know if it's muscle memory from when I ran the N-ZAP 85, or if it's because I think I'm gonna get a bunch of splats with it. Regardless, it always ends in me getting killed, leaving an opening for the enemy to come into our base and crush my teammates.

And this isn't an isolated incident, either. This happens almost every 3 games or so. I feel such shame.
The inkzooka can be wonky to utilize correctly. On one hand, you can use it to snipe people from afar or snag a few kills, and some usually keep it till they see such a moment. On the other hand, if you don't use it sooner then later, you'll end up getting killed without ever having used it anyways. I myself use it "sooner then later" cause I would rather die using it than not having used it.

Rcently, my worst flops have been from not being able to move around the Mahi Mahi stage. Most of my deaths have been from not being able to jump from one platform to another, and falling in water.

I'm just thankful that those losses have only happened in Turf Wars. I'd feel even worst if I played in Ranked Battles, which is probably why I don't play them often even though I was close to getting a B- the 1st day I played ranked.

I hate it when I completely bungle a Rainmaker protection operation. Like, it often happens late in the game when we have a slight lead but the cannon is lying on the ground fairly deep into our side. I often take it upon myself to grab it, not trusting my teammates to keep it safe, and then I fail to bring it into safety, getting taken out by a Luna and watch, a tear rolling down my cheek, as my team is wiped and the enemy grabs the Rainmaker and sails past our record distance.

Me: *Enters tower control on Mahi-Mahi*
Me: *tries to jump onto a platform*
The goal that the tower lands on if the opponents KO: Haha! I'll prevent you from jumping because you slow down on me!
The water: I got you now!!
Me: *respawns*
Judd: They took the tower!
Me: O-O THAT IS IT I AM FREAKING FED UP

I'm trying to think of a time but I think my worst was when I went into a match mostly as warmup. Of course, I didn't expect to win, but I think it was on a map I'm usually very good on, so to see myself suddenly being splatted by every single person on the other team because I couldn't stay alive long enough to charge my bubble was horrible. In the end, we got camped into our base and I felt like I was the only one even trying to keep inking ground. Ah well.

I have so many, I tend to forget/blackout the memories soon afterwards. If only there was a way to sum all that failure up.
Every overtime of my matches ever.
Yeah, that sounds about right... I am S rank, and I was in S+ for a couple months I swear!
All rank does is determine how often your teammates do silly things and how many nightmares you have about laser sights.

Anyway, I do have a couple truly stupid screw ups that still plague my memory.

Rainmaker, camp triggerfish. The match was pretty deadlock the entire 5 minutes. Their team has a lead of about 10 points, we made it to about the 50 mark and they to the 40. For some reason they try to make a last second push, despite lead have, so we get overtime.

Our team manages to advance a smidgen and wipe them... We've made the perfect comeback play right?

Oh wait, they left me to grab the rainmaker(can't blame them at all, I do pretty well with shooting people dead with it)

In such perfect conditions, there is no one to hinder me. Not a single squid to stop my scrambling... 'cept my own bloody fingers.

Naturally I do a fancy jump that I land all the bleeding time with that frig digle golden fish to round the corner of the middle platform to shave off a half a second or so aaaaand promptly drown.

The end ._.

The other day, I was playing Krak-On on Arowana Mall Rainmaker. Our entire team had been wiped except me, and the opponents were going for their last overtime push. I was confident we’d be fine, because I just needed to pop out of hiding and splat the Rainmaker carrier as they swam by.

They eventually showed up preceded by one escort, the rest of the team following behind. Since the Rainmaker and the escort were very close to each other, I popped out of the ink and swung at them both—but I was too early, so I only got the escort. Plus, the Rainmaker carrier had opted to stay back to charge a shot for some reason, throwing off my aim. At that point, I could have splatted them by flicking again, but I completely missed in my panic, got promptly splatted, and could only watch helplessly as the enemy team got the last few points needed to win.

Amusingly, I had been carrying my team the whole match, getting the lead and a really good K/D. I quite literally made and broke that match all by myself.
