How to beat the e-liter 3k

E-liters​
So I noticed something while talking with people on squid boards, every one hates the E-liter, so I decided (being an E-liter main) to give some tips on how to defeat my punishing weapon. (fair warning this is my first guide)

The E-liters​
So we all know this weapon wither we love it or hate it, but this weapon isn't as overpowered as people think. So lets talk about each E-liter but first somethings that all E-liters share. So if you don't know the E-liter is a very long range charger having the longest range in the game can make it a very difficult opponent, the E-liter has a few weaknesses first and by far the biggest weakness we can only fire 3 full charge shots then we are out of ink, the shots also take a while to charge and we don't recharge ink very fast while charging, as well as not doing well at medium range and close range (sometimes I will explain later )

E-liter:wst_charge_long00:
The original (and my favorite) E-liter. So along with what we already have covered, this E-liter comes with burst bombs making it decent at close range and the echoloacter which can and WILL ruin your surprise attacks (even with clod blooded)
E-liter Custom:wst_charge_long01:
This E-liter is the second to plaque your life, it rocks squid beckons making it able to have many sniper nests it can jump to, as well as the kraken which will stop your attempt to end him.
E-liter scope:wst_charge_longscp00:
The E-liter with a scope on it, the scope will give it a bit more of range at the price of not being able to see what is going on around him while he charges.
E-liter Custom scope:wst_charge_longscp01:
The E-liter custom with a scope on it (the easiest to take out). This dude is the same as the custom but with a scope on it, giving it more range and won't let him see around him while charging.
Summery​
The E-liter is an long range weapon that demands accuracy otherwise the user will die, thus making it the most punishing weapon ( to both the user and the victim)


What to use to end the sniper​
So you can end the E-liter with any weapon as long as your within your range but getting there is the problem so this are the weapons that have given me the most hassle.

:wst_shot_heavy01: The 96 Gal Deco ( ALL THE HATE) so the reason this weapon is so effective against chargers is three fold, one it has long range which does help and it has the splash wall which will stop two fully charged E-liter shots before disappearing, and damage holy cow this dude may not be the accurate but it can two shot you and it's great for pressuring the sniper (talk about that later).

:wst_shot_long01: The custom jet squlecher. This dudes range is insane I haven't personally been splatted by it but I have killed many MANY e-liters with this and since it has burst bombs you can go toe to toe with the normal e-liter and with a kraken to send the little e-liter running it's great.

:wst_shot_long00:The jet squlecher is a wonderful weapon for taking long range down along with having insane range it has a splash wall which is the bane to any e-liter as well with it's inkstrike just drop it on the sniper and make him go the way you want him to go.

:wst_shot_explight00:Rapid blaster pro (yes I know that that isn't it) the rapid blaster pro has really good range it can brush heads with a jet squlecher as well as having a blast radius , with it's subs you won't easily kill an e-liter with a seeker but it can be used to travel very quickly to get past areas they are looking down and an inkzooka is very effective at taking down ANY charger.

:wst_shot_gravity00:The 52 Gal. So this weapon is a two shot (mostly) and has some pretty decent range as well, with having a splash wall available to it's advantage, with a killer wail can easily scare snipers out of a nest.

:wst_roller_compact00:/:wst_roller_compact01: The carbon roller (or deco). hear me out the carbon roller is able to kill very quickly at close range making it great if you can get to the sniper, with the normal version having burst bombs are great to throw at the nest (as long as the sniper can't shot you) because they can knock the sniper off or kill him and on top of a devastating inkzooka that can shut down an e-liter with no risk of being out ranged.
The deco has seekers which can get you past the line of defense of the e-liter as well as it's unique special (BATTLESHIP) seeker rush which can make many openings for you AND your allies.
:inkzooka: The inkzooka any weapon with this can very easily take out an e-liter (seriously i have died to more inkzookas then most) because you are basically shoting giant e-liter shots

:splashwall: The splash wall. weapons with this (as longs as they are used correctly) can easily advance on an e-liter or provide a distraction so your teammate can kill him.

Removing him​
FINALLY we are here this is what I can tell you (from personal experience) on how to beat the range king. These will really be a set of rules some of the snipers will have their unique rules as well.

1. DON'T ATTACK AN E-LITER WHEN HE HAS A FULL CHARGE (mostly) it's really important to remember that if an e-liter has a charge ready and fires it at you YOU ARE GOING TO DIE wait until the e-liter has to recharge ink (we use a lot of it) or he is after one of your allies and then only when you are in YOUR perfect range.

2. Distraction is key. An e-liter is a weapon that the user has to take in all the information or it could easily mean his death so hitting him while he is after a team mate isn't cheap (seriously) we do it all the time to you so don't feel bad for going after us while we are busy.

3 Turf turf turf. the more room you have to move around the harder it is for the e-liter to hit you because he has a harder time figuring out where you are going to be. Also the e-liter can't cover as much turf as fast you can he will run out of ink quickly then you move in while he's recharging.

4. Jump only to dodge. A very common strategy with shooter weapons is to jump and shot to slightly increase your range this doesn't work on e-liters if you are at the range where you need to jump in order to hit you aren't close enough to him as jumping while shoting decreases your accuracy and every second counts with an e-liter because if he can charge his shot you are going to die as well as making you an easily hit target because once you jump you can't pick a direction to move you are stuck until you land which makes you very predictable but jumping when he is about to get his full charge ( or fire) will mess his shot up and will have to recharge which will almost spell his certain doom.

5. Don't give chase. If you confront an e-liter and he manages to get away don't chase him down unless he has no path because once he puts distance between you and him he can charge his hot and be ready for you, if you have to kill the e-liter when he starts to run away see which away he is going and shot ink in his path to cut him off then end him.

6. No laser still danger. A very common practice with all chargers is to point the controller down a bit so the laser is blocked by something then when fully charge pint it at the target and end it, so just because you don't see the laser doesn't mean he's not after you if he is looking in your direction he probable knows your there.

7. Don't play the range game ( i do have to say this), the e-liter has the most range out of anyone if he is staring into your soul don't shot at him when you can't hit him he will just laugh then pop you into nothing.

8. Sneak attacks, this goes with out saying if you can get behide an e-liter and he doesn't know it, it's almost certain doom for him because he can't protect himself if he doesn't know your there (unless you walk into his shot which good advice, DON'T).

9. Two for one, DON"T CLUMP TOGETHER, the e-liter can take two people out if they are close together but even if he doesn't kill both of you your blood will stop your teammate making him an easy kill

10 Variety, don't keep trying the same thing over and over do new approaches if you keep trying the same thing over and over you will get the same results, death.

11. if he's after you stay behide cover, he can't hurt what he can't hit, so stay behide cover and let him waste his shots so you can finish him, or shot so you can build for special, or a teammate may hit him while he's distracted.

12. MAKE HIM SQUELL, so i mentioned pressuring the sniper before but this means to make the sniper go after you by forcing his hand long range weapons do this very well as it makes it hard to not want to shot them.

Special rules​
Each e-liter is unique thus some ways are better then others when it comes to certain e-liters. SO make sure you know who you are fighting.
:wst_charge_long00: The normal e-liter. (the tough one)

1. don't point blank range this e-liter has burst bombs which are devastating at close range it can put you down very quickly with one burst bomb hit and an UNcharged shot and your done. unless you are a roller or have burst bombs you shouldn't be taking him out at point blank range.

2. echolocation sucks, IF you have been echoloacated the e-liter KNOWS WHERE YOU ARE, cold blooded or no the e-liter knows there is someone over there and will be expecting an attack from over-there, so it's best to leave the e-liter be until it wears off, unless you are right there and can kill him before he can charge a shot, and be warned echolocation refills ink so he is back to three shots (or burst bombs), and his teammates will be swarming you as well so be careful.

3. cover is rare, since the normal e-liter has burst bombs they can throw them over cover and get you to come out so they can shot you or die from burst bombs

:wst_charge_long01: The E-liter custom
1. FOR THE LOVE OF SQUIDUS BREAK THE BEAKONS, so this weapon is a very defensive sniper and if he is playing his weapon right will have beakons every where, so when you engage him he is very likely to jump away, congrats you win you have pushed be the sniper which will allow your team to advance a bit but before you head off take a quick look at your minimap and make sure he has no beakons in the area if he does break it and wait a few seconds to make sure he didn't jump before you broke it.

2. Close is yes, so this e-liter is helpless (almost) when it comes to close range combat so get close ( as long as his hair isn't glowing) and take him out.

3. The kraken is real, the only thing this weapon has for close range is very effective so before you engage the sniper make sure you have an escape path just in case he RELEASES THE KRAKEN because if you can stay away and he chases you when is kraken runs out he has no close range and is going to die PERIOD.

:wst_charge_longscp00: (bit of a pain) /:wst_charge_longscp01: (oh it clobering time) The scopes. ( set rules still apply)

1. EVEN MORE!, so the scopes get a tiny bit more range then normal e-liter so if you think you are safe because an e-liter couldn't hit you from there a scoped one might.

2. YES I SAID CLOSER, so remember how I said never attack an e-liter with a charge well here's the exception, the scope e-liters when they charge can't see around themselves ... at all so that is the perfect time to kill them (unless that scope is pointed in your direction)

4. Helping (hopefully)​
unless you have an inkzooka killing an e-liter with no help is going near impossible (unless he's not good) so if you don't have the weapon to kill the e-liter doesn't mean you can't help.

1. Hey look at me, so if you see your teammate(s) advancing towards the e-liter try to keep the e-liter attention off your teammate by shoting from a positions he is barely unable to hit or make it seem like you don't know he's there and move forward (do at own risk).

2. double advance, so if you have trouble getting to your weapon's sweet spot flank him in a different direction that way if he takes out your buddy it may be to late for him. (remember the e-liter takes time to charge)

3. turf, paint the town! e-liters can't paint areas very well so if you have more turf you have more options on how to take him out.

5.Subs the underrated​
I will talk about each sub as it pertains to the e-liter

:seeker: Seekers, they are very useful for making paths quickly to the e-liter and if he's on the same level having one lock on and chase him will force him to have to dodge and open possibly while he's distracted by the boat.

:burstbomb:Burst bombs :)p) these are nice for getting a sniper out of cover or if you are closer then your weapons best range use these also a good burst bombs is great for blocking escape paths (fair warning burst bombs now take 40% instead of around 27%)

:splashwall:Splash wall, (GRRRR) so these things can and WILL save your life by cutting off the only thing the e-liter has, range, because they can't one shot these it takes two shot to destroy one then they only have one hit left in the tank and if they miss they have no ink left to fire at you so you can kill them.

:suctionbomb:suction bombs these little guys are one of the harder things to kill snipers with you can throw one up a nest and see if you get lucky or it can block a path the sniper is going to take

:splatbomb:splat bombs, these are great if you can get it in the nest because they blow up quicky forcing quick movement from the e-liter which causes openings

:disruptor:Disruptor, (WHY LAZINESS WHY!) these things almost always mean death because it slows down movement so you can't run, it will making recharging ink impossible and they can't hide. ( warning this won't save you if they have a full charge)

:squidbeacon:beakon, so these can be great for putting behide sniper nests as long as the enemy doesn't see them but you need to keep an eye out for these if you are fighting a custom e-liter because if you don't take care of them you will lose.

:pointsensor:point sensor, these things will help you pinpoint the e-liter so you can fire over cover your make sure an ally knows about him and makes it so he can't hide.

:sprinkler:Sprinkler (it's flawless), these are GREAT against e-liters and should be used because one it distracts him and it makes him fire a shot which makes him have one less shot (remember only three charged shots then he's empty).

:inkmine:Mines, I can't really think of a good use for these when it comes to e-liters besides, breaking a beakon then can just put a mine down so it saves time.

6. FINAL SMASH, I mean specials crap!​
specials make taking out e-liters very easy as along as you use them well

:echolocator:Echolocater, so this one you need to watch out for because it can ruin a lot of e-liter kills but this can help you so he can't get away, as well as refill your ink.
:bubbler:Bubble (CHARGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGE), this special makes it so the e-liter can't kill you which makes it very good and is passable to your teammates which makes very good team pushes.
:killerwail:killer wail, this weapon is perfect for making a sniper come down just make sure you cover all of his nest so he has to move or die.
:bombrushseeker:(RUN RUN FROM THE BOATSS!) this weapon can be used to cause a very good distraction as well as open paths and is great if the e-liter is on the same level as you
:bombrushburstbomb:/:bombrushsuctionbomb:/:bombrush: Bomb rush, so these are all basically the same you take the ability of your sub and multiply it great for clearing out the sniper point.
:kraken:Kraken (OH ****) this weapon is good for making the sniper leave or if you do it well ending him as well as making a great distraction (remember e-liter custom can use this to.
:inkzooka:inkzooka (EVERY SINGLE TIME BHBYABDHY) this is the best weapon to use against e-liters it fires to fast that they generally won't have time to run for cover, WARNING USE THIS OUTSIDE THE E-LITER RANGE OR WHEN HE IS DISTRACTED, HE CAN AND WILL END YOU.
:inkstrike:inkstrike (ROCKET AWAY!), this weapon is for clear nests or if the nest is too big you use on a part of the nest to make in go into your line of fire (ei be-hide him)

7. SKILLS FOR THE HILLS!​
SO some of the skills that help against e-liters vary from weapon to weapon but the ones that stand out are.
:ability_bombrange:Bomb range, being able to throw bombs into the nest is very annoying for a sniper to deal with and make for great distractions.
:ability_inkresistance:Ink RES up, I say this because a snipe is having trouble hitting you what i can do is fire a shot into your path of travel forcing you to stand up and die but this will make it so you have a better chance at getting away.
:ability_ninjasquid: NINJA SQUID (YESSSSSSSS!) IF you want to be a e-liter hunter you need this it will be very helpful for slipping past e-liter sights because we do see the ink movement but this makes it hard for us to go after you.
:ability_defenseup:Defense Up I have noticed a lot more e-liters are running damage up so stacking some defense up throws them off big time because with some damage up the e-liter will try to half charge you which means they don't need to fully charge their weapon to end you so with some defense up you will be able survive if they half charge you that gives you a chance to end them a lot easier.

8. Closing shots (TEE HEE)​
So over all the main e-liter weakness is ink we go though a ton of ink so make sure you shot how many shots if you don't know how many he's got see if his light is on on the tank if it's not he's on his last shot, another thing is the e-liter punishes stupid moves and a lot of the cheap tactics ( I dare you to try and spawn camp an e-liter)

In all seriousness being an e-liter is one of the hardest things in splatoon the second you come onto the battle field everyone targets you and your own teammates don't feel as good when they win because "we had a e-liter" and will even be mean to e-liter, when they constantly get in the way of shots and squid bag us, and a lot of people hate e-liters because "it takes no skill to use",and we are called the trolls as well, so remember to be nice the next time you have an e-liter and remember in the end it's only a game.:wst_charge_long00::wst_charge_long01::wst_charge_longscp00::wst_charge_longscp01:

Didn't read it tbh, but going by the small pictures and sub titles I will assume that the guide is solid in covering the fundamentals of countering an Eliter. (I am a 3k scope main if that counts for anything)

actually could you review the E-liter 3k scope i have never used one so I want to make sure that is all accurate
