I'd love to see more dresses, or even just longer gear like coats or cardigans! Though on the other hand, crop tops would be a lot of fun if they were tasteful about the way they're modeled. (I do like shorter crops, but I don't think Nintendo would condone them on children lol)
If you're ranking down an alt in a tri/quad squad, I don't see why not. But if others are trying to win a regular match of solo/doubles ranked you're gonna look like a jerk

I don't get what they were trying to do with this one. It could've been okay if they had a different special, but the burst-bombs hinder the splatling more than helping it. Kind of a shame, too. I was so excited for a new mini splat
If I understand your question correctly, map control is where you have free reign to do whatever you'd like while the enemy is blocked off. In splatoon, map control is obvious since you can see the colors clear as day. Map control and Turf control are more or less the exact same thing
