So I know I've posted on here rarely but I need advice on getting better as a backliner. I'm a consistent S+ player but it's always low S+ and my X power is average at best (I've only gotten over 2000 power one season and that was only for Splat Zones, peak was about 2150 or 2175). I don't feel...
I need to improve my aim with the Heavy Splatling so I can avoid situations where my opponent(s) close the gap so much I don't have time to react accordingly. What are some drills I can do to help with that?
So I normally run Heavy Splatling (Remix usually) and Jet Squelcher (Custom usually). Would it behoove me to learn a charger? How difficult is it to learn? To pivot from the weapons I use normally?
Update:
I don't like how these weapons feel. The Splash-o-Matic and Splattershot I mean. It goes completely against how I play and I don't like this at all.
If you need additional information, here are my current stats: (I'm no newcomer to this game, I've had it since launch in 2017 and have been stuck in S+ for so long now. Only reason I don't have more time in the game [I still have over 1500 hours for the record] is because I have a 9-to-5 job...
Goals:
- Get to X rank
- Branch out to some other weapons
Problems:
- I honestly don't know.
- I am trying new gear builds to see if something sticks on that.
Current Weapons:
Heavy Splatling Remix (SZ/TC)
Custom Jet Squelcher (TC/RM)
Custom Dualie Squelchers (CB)
I am experimenting with the...
At this point it's all modes because I'm walled on all of them (Clam Blitz is the worst of it since I'm fluctuating between S and S+ over and over with that).
My weapons are as follows:
SZ: Heavy Splatling Remix
TC: Custom Dualie Squelchers or Kensa Splattershot Pro (depends on map)
RM: Custom...
I just don't know what else I can do. I've gotten frustrated with my lack of progress in Ranked. I don't think I can be picked up in the amateur Splatoon league I do at this rate. I've been stuck in S and S+ (lower and mid) for too long now and I can't take it anymore. It's my fault my play has...
So...been a while since I posted on here but I'm going to be entering a tournament tomorrow; it's only going to be Turf War but I still need to make sure my build can handle good coverage and get on offense if needed. With that said...
It's starting to look like I'll be running the Kensa...
So I ended my run to Spoon Queen (Go Team Spoob! Yes I did spell it like that.) with my highest power at around 2320. This is after not playing Splatoon much at all for the past few months outside of Splatfests. Clearly I had a streak going but is this a good indicator that I'm getting the rust...
I find myself focusing too hard on covering ground and dying or getting into fights...and dying. How do I find a happy medium between the two and stay alive?
