I think I'm done only ever playing Decav now. It'll still be what I play most often, still by far the most fun weapon for me. But Wiper Deco's playstyle is starting to become a lot of fun for me again and it might genuinely force me into learning to play with my teammates better. I've found myself occasionally going to other stuff too

Huh. Realized today that I might be able to force my way into being a better teammate by going back to play more Wiper Deco, aka a weapon that is extremely difficult to get full value with unless you're playing alongside others. Should be fun to revisit that thing

First (non-DzNutsKup) tournament since September with a pickup (?) including @AdphæeXD and we won one of the brackets!! This means every Squidboards member who joined that tournament won a bracket, factually proving that Squidboards users make for better players.

Campaigning for the Biggest Gamer category. On top of this, I've gotten 25th/150 at my state's 5th biggest Smash bracket ever and played several Mega Man stages this perfectly.

All this year alone and ignores my Pokemon stuff, AKA my main game.

My 2024 in Splatoon was defined by my insanely fast growth. Faster than I've ever seen in any game. Part of it was because of Decav but it wouldn't have been possible if I didn't grind like mad.

This has been proof that putting in thought, practice, and effort - all three - will net you results. If you read my latest post then that speaks for itself. There is nothing making me more capable of improving than you.

Joined a 1v1 tournament with my old teammates. Round robin, then a grand final match between the top two. I had many super close games but won them all for a 4-0 set count during round robin. Ended up losing in grands for 2nd place of 5 people.

I'm happy with that given how strong everyone was. It was weird, but fun to play a sharking weapon while also being the one painting the map LOL

Okay, I know I said last time that I didn't mind hosting a tournament instead of playing in one, and I genuinely didn't....but MAN I'm bummed I didn't get to play in Quag's bracket LOL

As of now, my current team is disbanding. Honestly we had a decent run. I'm a bit disappointed we didn't get our Low Ink win since the further we've gone the more obvious it's felt that we could do it but at the very least we're all on good terms and will probably do some pickups in the future. Great players and great people, love them all.

Dude I learned last night that there MIGHT be a LAN in a state next to mine and I'm so excited

Like I never felt like going out of state for Smash once even though there've been huge tournaments two hours away but I wouldn't think twice about taking a three hour drive for this

Nothing burger of a post, I know, but I've never been so pumped for a gaming event and I don't know any of the details lmao
