    Sploosh o matic 7

So one person makes a hasty judgement on Reddit and suddenly everyone is overhyping the weapon? Any specialist weapon can be bad if you have too much of one on a team, including chargers and certain rollers. The real reason this weapon is considered good at inking is not due to it's spread or...

    Super Mario Maker

That new Fire Koopa Clown Car will be great for my Star Fox levels.

Burgers vs Pizza for next NA Splatfest

The Splatfest ended, that's what happened.

    Is defense up worth it?

Something similar can be said for a lot of abilities, like cold-blooded being technically useless when there are no echolocators, tenacity only helping when your teammates die, all the on-death abilities...

I just got a shiny piece of gear... THROUGH LEVEL UPS!

Have myself some Oyster Clogs with three :ability_swimspeed: and:ability_runspeed:.

    Super Mario Maker

Well, I've finished my spiny helmet level. It's called... Jr.'s Spiny Helmet Gauntlet - BFED-0000-010C-7FB7. The battle at the end may require some strategic retreats. Want to make a Tourian-based level next, but I don't have the Samus costume...

    Is defense up worth it?

The way I use defence up is on a Hydra Splatling, helps to keep bombs from moving you off of good positions where you won't get shot at too much.

Burgers vs Pizza for next NA Splatfest

Strange, this is the first Splatfest I've had with zero connection problems besides the occasional hiccup. Don't know if being on the less popular burger team has anything to do with it... Though I will say that burger isn't devoid of dumb players either, like one time someone STILL plants...

    Super Mario Maker

I already had an invisible block workaround in mind, but thanks anyway.

    Super Mario Maker

I'm thinking of making a level that uses a spiny helmet extensively. And I'm NOT gonna fall in the trap of it breaking ? blocks. In the meantime, here's a classic spin on one of my levels (now with boots!): Yoshi's Island Athletic Classic - BDD5-0000-00FF-7611

    Hydra Splattling: Analysis and Thoughts

First off, a disclaimer: no weapon can truly hold off a group of assailants without backup, especially on wide open or maps with multiple flanking routes. Some maps like Bluefin Depot or Port Mackerel are simpler to defend without teammate support. But no matter what there will be gaps in your...

    Hydra Splattling: Analysis and Thoughts

Bubbler doesn't sound great on this weapon, you don't spend much time near inklings so you can't share it easily, and while it'll definitely help you survive an ambush the slow charge time gives them ample opportunity to escape. Though I guess if multiple inklings are bearing down on you with no...

    Hydra Splattling: Analysis and Thoughts

Kelp Dome, at least in Turf War, strikes me as being a poor map for defensive weapons in general, since there are simply too many avenues to cover reliably. It sounds like @HappyBear801 is focusing a bit too much on actually hitting Inklings and not quite realizing the benefits of just inking...

    Hydra Splattling: Analysis and Thoughts

I just think a charger would suit a stealth role better, as their shots are much more inconspicuous, especially if you can manipulate the aiming laser so that they don't see it. That, and they're just as vulnerable, if not more so when caught at close range. Camp Triggerfish I did pretty well...

    Hydra Splattling: Analysis and Thoughts

Personally I'd argue that Defence Up is more important than Offence; the utility of this weapon is not just in splatting others, but preventing them from advancing with an almost never-ending stream of ink. Since they generally cannot get in a position to shoot you, they'll likely resort to...
