Also we got randomly selected to have one of our match sets streamed and do you know how surreal it is to see total strangers cheering for you in chat?? I cannot even mentally parse this experience. It was terrifying having all your mistakes broadcast but I was actually focused enough to have some good moments and I'm pleased with that. We did good.

This has also done so much for my confidence too, like I think before this I felt like I was mostly surrounded by people who just seemed to be effortlessly S+ and it's hard to not feel constantly inadequate but there are actually so many people who are at my level and we had so many REALLY good games, so it's clearly not like I'm uniquely terrible at the game or something.

But I think the best part is that I made friends! My teammates were all such cool people and we may even stick together and see if there's stuff we can enter in the future together. I'm just so happy. Except that now that the adrenaline is wearing off I remembered that I'm actually still pretty sick, lol. But everything was worth it 1000x over.
