Hello! I'm Basalt (but feel free to call me Octo). I'm not new to Splatoon 3, or even the Splatoon series in general, but I am somewhat new to the competitive scene, as I only started back in September. I'm a dualies enthusiast, having played dark/light tetras, order dualies, and ndapples... but I'm an ndapple one-trick in denial. Sometimes I play both wiper kits or wellstring. In case you can't tell, I loveeeee playing frontlines.
I'm the former captain of Ocean's Edge, and currently play ndapples for Mesopelagic (estimated div 9). I love discussing kit synergies and team comps, especially off-meta comps so if you wanna chat about these, I'm always open! There's literally nothing I love more than theorycrafting.
Outside of Splatoon, I love playing cozy sim games (think stardew, animal crossing, amber isle, etc). I'm a huge Nintendo nerd, which is how I got into Splatoon in the first place. I love Mario, Pokemon, Donkey Kong, and other big Nintendo IPs.
