Personally, I don't want to stick with one weapon. Not only am I still testing the waters, being able to be diverse will be generally helpful for a team in the long run.

If I had to stick with one weapon though, it would either be the default/replica Splatcharger or .52 Gal Deco. I love the default charger's set up, and the .52 Gal Deco is a nice balance of killing and spreading ink.

I'm waiting for the N-Zap 89, love the main weapon but hate the 85's loadout. It's alright for Turf Wars so I still use it there, but for Ranked I'm running the .52 Gal Deco for now.

Aerospray...Sorry everyone...

Also I keep seeing .52 Gal and keep getting killed by it, is it that good?

Does no one else use the Splattershot Pro? Love it on Splat Zone, because of its great range and accuracy it is a great all around gun. As for inking areas, splat zone only has a small area so It is fine in splat zone, however I do not use it on Turf Wars.

Currently bouncing between classic squiffer, and aerospray MG for turf war..

the RG and jet squelcher are my ranked mains.

i just wish the damage stat wasnt so useless, so my aero spray could kill a little faster

Well.. I wouldn't say it's 90% of the time, but I like to use the Custom Splattershot Jr. w/ Disrupter and Echolocater a lot. I just think it's fun lol

I love using the Splattershot Pro in ranked. Definitely not in Turf Wars, however.

I love using the new NES weapon for turf war since it can spread ink pretty fast and the echolocator is great since I enjoy jumping from out of nowhere and inking people haha

For ranked battles, I prefer the .52 deco in open areas like walleye warehouse otherwise I go for the kelp charger.

I never leave home without my Splattershot Pro. I'm probably going to switch to the Forge Splattershot Pro as soon as I can play again.

The Pro is just such a great weapon. Not being able to spread as much ink around is a bit of a downer, but in return, you get a great combination of power, accuracy and range.

I switch between the Kelp Splat Charger and the N Zap, but I have been barely touching any other weapons.

I should explain by "weapon specialists" I mean using one weapon all the time in ranked or every 9/10 ranked matches. I have played ranked exclusively with the Gold Dynamo Roller (which a lot of people seem to disrespect) and am currently at a B+ ranking with a lot of momentum behind me.
I have literally just started using the Gold Dynamo Roller...I dropped from A- to B- after using it (never really used rollers before) but I started wrecking face. Good LORD the range on the spray is amazing.

I used to play a lot with the Tentatek Splattershot early on in Turf Wars up to level 20, but I think it's stats are too balanced to really stick out in higher levels of gameplay, so I started switching between Aerospray, .52 gal, Dual Squelcher and when it came out the N-ZAP85. All weapons have it's pros and cons in my opinion, so I guess I will stick with the Dual Squelcher for the time being, because range is good to counter Aerosprays and rollers. Maybe I will give the Splattershot Pro another try in Splat Zones.

I love stealth games so my choice is the Krak-On roller and be very sneaky. I had amazing results with this, 15-25 kills in most games (Splatzone) and it is soooo fun to splatter the whole enemy squad from behind :p When i finally beat the singleplayer i will try the Dynamo Roller, but not sure about that because of the slow attack and no beacon. I will change the weapon if there is something better for stealth attacks, but for now this is my choice :)

On splat zones, I only use the .52 gal deco because of it's kill power and having the inkstrike. I found that on port mackerel the seeker was also quite effective at defending down the narrow paths to the zones.

Trying desperately to get better at charger weapons and get away from the Krak-on roller, but I always do poorly in matches and feel like I'm dragging the team down. Any suggestions on how to use a charger effectively? I think once I "get it", then it's a matter of picking the loadout with good secondary (inkwall comes to mind)

Practice, gyro controls, practice, Ninja Squid, practice, Ink Resistance, and practice. Did I mention practice?

And I don't recall there being a Charger with an Inkwall, unless the E-liter has it.

You know, when I turn the speed up to +3 and gyro off, I do well with the other weapons, but do poorly w/gyro (and lower sensitivity), and vice-versa. So it seems I need to practice specifically with that combination.

Ahhh nuts.

I'm practically married to my Splatterscope. I use it 100% of the time. <3

...to be honest though, I'm considering temporarily using the .52 Gal until we can actually form teams. Like someone earlier said, being successful as a character is super team dependent. I often feel that no matter what I do, wins and losses in ranked are almost random for me. If we're winning, I can get 10+ kills. If we're losing, I get 1-5. D:

Kind of want to use .52 Gal intermittently to save my sanity.
