Kelp splat charger is currently the only weapon set I use in ranked ; E-litre might follow once I get the motivation to use it

Right now I'm sticking with the Splattershot Pro. Gotta love them Inkstrikes.

I am a semi-specialist, with a Turf War weapon and a Splat Zones weapon: Turf War (for now) is Aerospray MG, but now that I've beat the game and am way more than halfway to Level 13, that MAY change to the Aerospray RL. However, for Splat Zones I currently use the N-ZAP '85, and it works well. My brother and I both often use the Splat Bombs, although we have different strategies: mine is to go commando and throw one, cover some ground, swim, cover, rinse, and repeat. My brother's is a little more complicated. He usually finds a nice little hiding place in a stage and then sits there, within firing and bomb-throwing range of the Zone, in squid form, and whenever a threat appears, he Splat Bombs and shoots.

I'm practically married to my Splatterscope. I use it 100% of the time. <3

...to be honest though, I'm considering temporarily using the .52 Gal until we can actually form teams. Like someone earlier said, being successful as a character is super team dependent. I often feel that no matter what I do, wins and losses in ranked are almost random for me. If we're winning, I can get 10+ kills. If we're losing, I get 1-5. D:

Kind of want to use .52 Gal intermittently to save my sanity.
Yeah, the truly unfortunate part about being good at and always using a charger is that usually you can't do much to carry a team if they can't cover the frontlines for you as you snipe in ranked matches.

You have no idea how glad I am to hear that it's not just me getting frustrated by this. XD

I switch weapons all the time but when i really try to win i use the .52 gal deco, it's definitely my favorite weapon.
my second fav is probably the krak on roller.. i just love my beacons and being sneaky.

other than that i constanly try to play and improve on alot of other weapons, i love the charger weapons too (eventhough i'm not good at them..) but also the blaster.

the aerospray isn't my cup of tea, it's alright but i prefer being able to kill "faster". (as in, more raw power...like...more damage per hit) and probably prefer having a little more range aswell.

i just like that you have to come up with different strategies for each weapon (and map), it's really fun to come up with new stuff!
can't wait for more new weapons and maps

Aerospray...Sorry everyone...

Also I keep seeing .52 Gal and keep getting killed by it, is it that good?
It's pretty much a direct counter to the Aerosprays. It outranges it without loss of power and the subs (Seeker for Deco, not sure but I think Spray Wall for regular?) are perfect counters to it as well. Seeker means you can lay it down and swim even farther back while forcing them to maneuver in not a straight line towards you.

In Turf War I go with my trusty Jet Squelcher. The range is perfect for infiltration and getting out of tight situations.

Splat Zones I switch to the .52 Gal Deco. Seekers are my best friend, especially on tight maps like Port Mackerel and Walleye Warehouse.

Jet Squelcher is really only good as a support weapon, so if I were playing specifically with friends I would use it more, but with an uncoordinated team who don't take advantage it's pretty much useless.

My favourite Ranked match last night was when I was on a team with 3 Jet Squelchers including myself and a Charger of some kind. It was amazing. Spray Walls everywhere. They could not break us.

You, fine sir, are correct.
So how do people feel using weapons that are outside of their comfort zone, even to the impossible point? I know that with the way I play Splatoon, there is no possible way I could be successful with a charger in multiplayer. If you could see how I use the charger with the Inkling Girl amiibo, then you'll understand; I go the same way I'd do with any other weapon: forward.

I've been a dedicated Jr. main in Turf Wars since day 1, and I'm trying to see how far I can take it in Splat Zones. If I had to learn a longer-range weapon for that mode though, I'd probably go with the .52 Gal Deco. Out of all the other weapons I've experimented with in Splat Zones, I felt the most comfortable with that one.

If the Inkbrush is good, I think I'll main the Inkbrush and the E-liter. 2 opposite weapons that seem to be very fun and specialized :) I think the Inkbrush looks like so much fun.

Splattershot Pro. Decent range, inkstrike, grenades, and the ability to rapid fire. Only downside is how fast it burns through ink.

I'm very disappointed in the sniper rifles in this game, but when the objective is to cover an area, I guess that's just how it is. *shrug*

I think I will stick with the standard Jet Squelcher for a while now. It has it's disadvantages and probably loses 9/10 matches in quick close-combat, but with Ink Wall, Inkstrike and a range which matches most chargers it's a serious threat in Splat Zones if you know what you're doing.

I've been using the Splattershot Jr. for a long time and don't see any reason to change. I love being able to spread ink and having the Splat Bomb and Bubbler combination is glorious. Makes it useful for both Turf Wars and Splat Zones.

A lot of players underestimate the Jr in splat Zone, in fact its the best combo when it come to pressure the middle with the bubble.

I have a specialty in two weapons, the Inkbrush and the Rapid Blaster. The brush allows for skilled but easy play, and sprinklers fit perfectly with me, along with Inkstrikes. I also like the Rapid Blaster, since it has some great utility overall. Ink Mines work great for a hidden close-range weapon, and the Bubbler is good for those tough situations. Not only that, but it can kill quick and easy. Great to surprise enemies! First shot and you bassicly have the kill.

Faithful to my Ink Brush. Unfortunately its one of the most under appreciated weapons in the game but Its carried me to a B+ rank thus far.

N-Zap '85 loyalist, here. Love that thing not only because it's balanced overall, but also because it's an homage to the NES Zapper (and the year it came out, hence the "85"), and I love stuff like that.

well, hello fellow ink brush enthusiast.
i tend to use it partly due to it lacking love, and also due to my preference of being a trickster sort of class.

Haha Im abit of a trickster class myself. Im an artist so I kinda gravitated towards the brush as soon as I saw it, It really isnt a bad weapon though, just has a weird learning curve.
