Buff Ink Mines? Why or Why Not?

I've seen the suggestion of being able to place 3 mines at a time crop up here and people debating whether or not that would be too powerful, what about just being able to place 2 at a time?

You'd still need to refill your ink tank before being able to put down 3, which is what many people don't get about that suggestion. I think being able to place 3 at a time and the first detonating when placing a new one wouldn't be overpowered. They come out so slow you can get the kill easily, and placing down that many in the middle of a battle means you're out of ink, which can result in a very easy kill.
