uhhh I saw a post to a sexual dating site by @WelshRoxy and hopefully somebody can delete that sh^t
Then I got randomly kicked off of it…
I swear the god if sexual things go on behind the sences of this site I will crash out.
can I moderator pls do smth about this??

Yeah they've been going on for a while, using older accounts that have gotten hacked somehow. Or that just used terrible passwords. Usually they get deleted pretty quickly, as you saw. but yeah it's unfortunate that we have to deal with that

they're bots, the site is either trying to steal your credit card information or trying to download a virus onto your computer so they can steal your credit card information
if you clicked on the site i would do an antivirus scan on your pc just in case

yeah this is kinda just a thing. it will continue for as long as people with insecure passwords sit inactive and bots exist to take advantage of that. apparently it’s not even exclusive to this forum, other forums using the same software as squidboards get the same sort of spam

i do wanna say - and this goes to everyone - don’t think that just because you’re not a old, inactive user, you’re safe. i’ve seen an account from the january influx get compromised and used to post about verified maidens™️. have a strong password and, ideally, activate two-factor authentication to protect your account.
