How do you approach gear building?

First, I use sendou.ink to help me out. Sometimes, the most popular/high-level builds are not my style, but they still always let me know what abilities are useful for each weapon as I sprinkle in my own. From there, I make an absolutely fire fit, and then use ability chunks + seed manipulation to get the set I'm looking for.

I use gear seed calculation nonsense, unless its near finished (2/3 is same)

I really wish I learned about gear seeds way earlier before already having a lot of builds finished.
I could still do it but I have enough chunks now that I don't really bother.
